Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be walking down the aisle with us!

Rachel Simmons

Bride

I met Joe in 8th grade. My best friend at the time kept talking about this boy named Joe, and that I would like him. I somehow got his number on my little flip phone and we would text constantly. Once I think he realized I liked him, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course I said yes, even though I barely knew what a boyfriend was. It is unclear when the cute little puppy love became serious. We did high school, college, and the beginning of our adult lives together. I feel so lucky to have gotten to grow with Joe and experience all the major events in my life with him. He's the best high school dance date, prom date, college formal date, wedding date, and any other kind of date. I can't wait to meet him at the alter and start the rest of our lives together.

Joe Pyne

Groom

I met Rachel in the summer before I entered 9th grade. We were introduced to one another by a couple of mutual friends. We exchanged phone numbers and would text each other nonstop. I then realized that I really liked her and asked her to be my girlfriend. It was during a time in my life were I was first experiencing the loss of a loved one after the death of my Pop-Pop. I felt like the stars aligned and he sent her to be in my life to make sure that I was going to be okay. We have been high school sweethearts ever since and both went to WCU as well. There is nobody else that I can imagine being by my side through all that life throws our way. I am a better person because she is in my life. I can't wait to meet her at the alter on our wedding day and spend the rest of our lives together.

Alyssa Pyne

Maid of Honor

I may not have been blessed with a biological sister in my life, but boy was I blessed with the best soon to be sister-in-law. Alyssa has been by my side just as long as Joe has. She is always there when I need her and it feels like she's been my sister my whole life. We have countless memories such as our "sissy pics", beach trips, getting ready for school dances, college homecoming, and about a million more. I know she will always be my rock when I need one, on the day of the wedding, and for the rest of my life. I am so excited to have Alyssa by my side on my wedding day. Love you Sissy!

Kristina Dowd

Bridesmaid

My longest, most loyal, most consistent friend. I've known Kristina since Pre-K when her mom used to babysit me after school. I was a shy and quiet little girl and Kristina was the exact opposite. We had so much fun together growing up and I am so blessed to still have her as one of my best friends. We may go months without talking, but we always pick back up right where we left off. I know Kristina will always be a phone call away no matter where life takes us, and she will always have a special place in my heart. I am so happy to have her be a part of my wedding day and to make more fun memories. Love you Kristina!!

Elizabeth George

Bridesmaid

Liz was one of my favorite college roommates! Liz makes me feel so comfortable and free to be myself. We're always laughing (usually at each other). I am so grateful to have a friendship as genuine as ours. I love our phone conversations about life updates, the good, the bad, and the ugly. She'll always be the person I call when I need advice or just a laugh. I am known to worry and I can always count on Liz to remind me not to take life too seriously. I can't wait to spend this really special day with Liz by my side. Love you Liz!!!

Danielle Steinmetz

Bridesmaid

Danielle and I's friendship goes way back. We have been friends on and off since elementary school softball. Our friendship really flourished in college when we bonded over not having any other friends. During our 4 years at West Chester we did EVERYTHING together. We carpooled to school, got copious amounts of Starbucks, struggled in the library for hours, and so much more. Danielle was, and still is my person. It is so crazy how similar we are and people often would mistake us as sisters. I am so excited to have Danielle stand by my side at my wedding. Love you Dani!!!

Chelsey Pyne

Bridesmaid

Joe's beautiful cousin who feels like my own after all this time. I have known Chelsey for a while and she has always been so kind and inviting. I stood by Chelsey and the rest of her and Joe's family during really hard times with the passing of their grandmom and grandpop. I admire how strong and positive she is and I am thankful to be joining her wonderful family. I am excited to get to share a fun and happy memory with her by my side at the wedding. Love you Chelsey!!!

Brooklynn Simmons

Junior Bridesmaid

Brooklynn is my not so little cousin. I have always called Brooklynn my mini me. I love her sass and goofiness. She is so smart and so passionate about art and I’m so proud of her for everything she’s accomplished. She lights up a room with her big smile and she cares so much about her family. I support her in everything she does and I feel like her cheerleader. I am so excited to see where life takes us and I'm excited to grow closer and closer as she gets older. I’m so happy to have her support on my wedding day. Love you Brooklynn!!

Rowan Reyes

Flower Girl

Skylar Vinson

Best Man

Skylar is not only my best man, but my best friend. I first met Skylar in middle school. We share the unconditional brotherly love that has helped us grow into adults and he has always felt like the younger brother that I never had. He has always been someone that I can count on, trust, and confide in. There are so many good memories I could talk about, but my favorites are rooming together at WCU, going on vacations with his family to OCNJ every July, marching together in high school and college, playing on an ultimate frisbee team together, and being the best beer pong duo the world has ever seen. Our friendship is the kind of friendship that can pick up right where it left off no matter where life takes us. I'm so lucky to have him standing at my side on my wedding day. Love you brotha

John Covotta IV

Groomsman

John has always been like an older brother to me and someone that I have always looked up to. Whether it was Sunday dinners at Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop’s house, family parties, father’s day camping trips, playing video games, and backyard football and wiffle ball games, we were always inseparable. Even now that we are older, whenever we are together at gatherings we hang out and talk about what is going on in the Philly sports world, just like the old days. I’m so happy to have him as a part of my wedding day. Love ya man!

Andrew Anthony

Groomsman

I first met Andrew in middle school when we both played Aston AA basketball for the Blue Devils. We became good friends during high school. Andrew is a great guy who is always there to talk to and is always fun to hang out with. Since the start of our friendship he has always felt like a younger brother to me. We share many of the same interests in Philly sports, music, and video games. Some of my favorite memories are rooming together at WCU, marching together in high school and college, playing on NHL and 2K club teams together over the years, watching Eagles games, and going to 76ers games together. It has also been a blast battling each other in many pick up sports matchups over the years and its made me a better athlete. I'm excited to have him by my side on my special day.

Tyler Anthony

Groomsman

I first met Tyler through being friends with his brother, Andrew. Tyler has been like an older brother to me throughout our friendship. He has always been there for advice, someone I can rely on, and someone who is always down for a fun time. Tyler was the person who recruited me to go to WCU where we eventually would become roommates. We share many similar interests in Philly sports, video games, fantasy football, music, and playing pickup sports at the park. Some of my favorite memories together are our weekend hangouts at WCU playing Rock Band, playing Madden, 2K and NHL together, going out to the bars, marching together in high school and college, our backyard Eagles game watch parties, and going to many 76ers games together. I'm excited to have him at my side on my wedding day!

Dan Adams

Groomsman

Dan and I’s friendship began playing ultimate frisbee in high school. You could say that we were like the Tom Brady to Randy Moss connection, except if it they had somehow been on the 0-16 Detroit Lions. You could say that we made the most out of playing on a god awful team and have been really good friends ever since. Dan and I share many similar interests, Dan is my go-to for fantasy football, daily fantasy, and sports advice and we have had a really good time over the years dueling in beer pong, fantasy football matchups, playing on 2K and NHL clubs together, and hanging out playing pickup sports. Dan has always been like an older brother to me and is always down for late night Playstation chats about life and sports. I’m so excited to have him by my side for this special day. YEET!

Alan Ennis

Groomsman

When my parents decided we were going to move from Southwest Philly to Aston, I came to a new town with no friends. Through CCD I met this smiley kid that also shared the same passion for NASCAR and drumming that I had. That kid was Alan and we have been friends ever since. Alan is the classic example of a genuinely good guy that would do anything for anyone. Together we helped lead the Sun Valley Percussion section to the award for best percussion at championships during our Senior year. We shared many great memories during our high school days. I am forever grateful of him for convincing me to join marching band back in high school and wouldn’t have a lot of the memories and friends that I have from band without him. I am so happy to have him by my side on my wedding day! Love you buddy!

Jake Ailes

Groomsman

Being an older brother with a younger sister means that my job is to be very protective of boyfriends that come into my sister life. It didn’t take too long for Jake to earn my trust because he’s done a great job taking care of my little sister. Jake is a stand-up guy who is fun to talk to about sports and never takes it personally when I do my brotherly duties of busting on him. I look forward to having him by my side on my wedding day. As always, Yooooo Jakeeeee!

Penny Simmons

Mother of the Bride

I wouldn't be the woman I am today if it wasn't for my Mama! She has taught me so much in my short life and I am more like her than she would want to admit. She gives the best advice and always knows how to solve my problems. I will always look up to her and I cant wait for her to walk me down the aisle on my big day! Love you. Mommy!!

Angela Pyne

Mother of the Groom

A boy's first love in the world is his mother. As the person who brought me into this world, my mom has been the most influential person in my life. My mom was my first teacher, the one who stayed home to raise my sister and I when we were younger. I would not be the man that I am today without her. I am so blessed to have her as my mom. She has always been there to show me right from wrong. She's the one I go to for life advice and always knows how to take care of and spoil me. She's the best negotiator I have ever seen and is the smartest person that I know who didn't go to college. She is the first person I'll go to whenever I need a problem solved. There's nothing I will ever be able do to repay the debt that I owe her. I can't wait to share my special day with her. Love you Mom!

Joe Pyne

Father of the Groom

The person that I am most like is my Dad. I am the spitting image of him and he is my namesake. My dad taught me how to work hard, how to treat a woman, and that I could do anything if I put my mind to it. He also taught me to never be content in what I do and that knowledge is power. He was the one who taught me how to throw a ball and shoot a basketball. We share an equal passion for the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers, because he raised me that way as a loyal Philadelphia fan. I always enjoy watching/talking sports with him. My favorite memories that we shared together were the watching the Phillies win the World Series and crying tears of joy after the Eagles won the Super Bowl. I am blessed to have him as my dad. I look forward to sharing my special day with him. Love you Dad!
