Our Story

It all began in the vast universe of a Black dating app back in May 2022. (Yes, we met online—we listen, we don’t judge!🤓🤭). What started as a simple chat turned into effortless conversations that neither of us wanted to end. With my birthday just around the corner, we found the perfect excuse to meet in person. The Keg Restaurant—one of my favorite (and one I proudly endorse 🤪). We laughed, we ate, and we left that day knowing we’d stay in touch. And we did… well, until life decided to test us, and we ghosted each other. Yep, radio silence for months.

And many years later🤪

Fast forward to January 2023—because “Happy New Year” is the perfect excuse to slide back into someone’s life, right? We picked up where we left off, diving into deep conversations about life, our progress so far navigating the county, immigration😩, our goals, and whether we had a future together. Spoiler alert: He checked every box on my husband material list. But we didn’t want to jump in purely based on vibes and emotions. So, we decided to seek God’s face, trusting Him to guide us. Then came July 1, 2023—a seafood lover’s dream and an allergic fiancé’s nightmare. At Red Lobster (because shrimp and lobster are always the answer), Peter asked me to be his girlfriend. The man risked his allergies for me! How could I not say yes? Location and food did not influence my answer like I said we listen we don’t judge🤪. Now here we are, to celebrate one of the most special chapter of our lives with you all. And the rest, as they say, is history… or in this case, destiny. 🥰 See you soon🥳 you can tell your girl is pumped.
