A long way from high school...

Omar - Believe it or not, I can be bad at things, this may come as a shock to most, I know. I was a Junior at Stockdale High School, didn't feel ready for my AP Physics class, and decided to switch my schedule around. I ended up having to move to a new AP US History class where I sat next to my good friend and fellow delinquent, Marco Naranjo, and his cousin Angelique. I had seen her around school before and thought she was very cute, but I also thought she was dating a girl (she wasn't) so I figured we could just be friends. I did eventually slide into her Snapchat DMs, went on a couple of dates, and asked her to be my girlfriend that December. Since then, I have been grateful for every second that I get to spend with her. Life is not simple, nor is it always easy, but there is no one else I'd rather experience it with than my best friend and love of my life, Angelique. Angelique - I heard about Omar a year before I even met him, but at the time he was known as the Tamale Man. I finally learned his name after he switched to my AP US History class and he immediately caught my eye, especially with his sense of humor. After we started talking and texting each other almost every day and hour, we planned our first date which Omar thought I cancelled on purpose by faking a cold. Even further after that, we officially started dating in December and it's been an amazing time since then. Eight years, a high school and Bachelor's degree, and three cats later and there is no one else I'd rather be experiencing life with but Omar. Here's to celebrating what is sure to be another amazing stage of life with you.
