February 28th, 2024: The first time Brooke laid eyes on Stephen. Picture this, a muddy line dancing bar in the middle of nowhere; Brooke was standing on the outskirts of the dance floor as she watched Stephen spin around. In awe she turned to her friend and said "I need that man". Nothing came of that night, until.. June 8th, 2024: Stephen and Brooke were both at a George Strait concert at MetLife Stadium — Stephen was just coming back from getting waters and snacks from the convention stand, and Brooke was in line to use the bathroom. The crowd of people split and they locked eyes. Nervous, Stephen looked down, saying to himself, "Wow, she's beautiful." He looked back up and they locked eyes again — Stephen knew he had to go say something. He walked right up and said: "I'm so sorry to bother you, but you are absolutely gorgeous." Brooke blushed, "Thank you." They introduced themselves and she gave Stephen her phone number. Thirty minutes later he texted her to see where she was in the stadium, they sang, danced, and got to know each other. Before George Strait's closing song, Stephen asked, "Can I take you on a date tomorrow?" and that's exactly what he did. June 9th, 2024: The following day he picked her up with the most beautiful flowers in hand and took her to a local restaurant. After dinner, they watched the sunset in the most romantic setup, blankets and pillows thrown around the truck bed blasting music off of a speaker. They laid in the bed and talked — Stephen asked her everything he could think of, they ended up going back and fourth until 1AM then romantically fell asleep. Confused, they woke up at 2AM to rain hitting their faces. It was a night they will never forget, and Stephen knew from that moment Brooke was going to be his wife and Brooke knew Stephen was going to be her husband. They met through the Lord’s perfect timing—an expression of His unfailing grace, gently and beautifully weaving their lives together in a way only He could. In His divine wisdom, He guided their paths to cross at just the right moment, when their hearts were ready and their souls prepared for something greater than themselves. What may have seemed like an ordinary meeting was, in truth, part of a much bigger story He had been writing all along. From the very beginning, He knew the love they would share, the strength they would find in one another, and the life they would build together. In His perfect plan, they were never strangers— only two hearts patiently waiting to find their way home to each other.
