Kayla and Kristle go back to Kayla's days in x-ray school. She met Kristle when Kayla's roommate worked with Kristle at a vet clinic. Kristle became a very important person to Kayla, and she never stopped being that very important person.

Vince is the last of the founding members of SSFC. He was roommates with Danny in college. From helping Danny get through his java classes, to climbing Mt. Fuji together, Vince has become a great friend and important person in Danny's life.

Jessi and Kayla were work buddies at Mercy in Dubuque. Through x-ray school, Jessi was a major influence to Kayla and continues to be a role model to this day even while Kayla and Jessi both have well established careers.

Danny and Austin became friends after deciding to room with each other at UW Green Bay. Austin introduced Danny to his vices: Magic the Gathering and board games.

Jackie is the wife of one of Dan's best friends, Austin. Kayla and Jackie became friends after a wild new years eve party at Jackie's house, and now Jackie says Kayla is never allowed to leave the group!
