FAQs

Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

The wedding is at Fireweed Meadows Venue in Wasilla, AK. It is an approximate 1.5 hour scenic drive north from Anchorage with traffic and construction delays factored in. Please plan accordingly!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Champagne hour begins at 4:00 PM. We ask that all guests be seated and ready at least 10 minutes before the ceremony starts. That means arriving with enough time to settle in—so please don’t wait until the last minute! It’s very important to the bride and groom to start the ceremony promptly at 4:44 PM

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal to formal attire is requested. Dress to celebrate with us in style! We recommend shoes that work well on lawn and gravel, along with an extra layer for the cooler evening hours.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unless your invitation specifically includes a plus one, we are unable to accommodate additional guests. Seating and place settings are limited, so we ask that only those invited attend.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Because there are over 25 kids just in our extended family, we had to make the difficult decision to keep our wedding an adults-only (18+) celebration. The only children attending will be those in our immediate family. We absolutely love your children and truly appreciate your understanding. Children in our immediate family should be supervised at all times. We kindly ask that any discipline or redirection be done quietly and away from the ceremony and reception.

Question

Will food and drinks be provided?

Answer

Yes! We encourage you to arrive early for the champagne hour beginning at 4:00 PM so the ceremony can start promptly at 4:44 PM. Following the ceremony, enjoy a cocktail hour with delicious grazing table, then a dinner featuring Filipino and other Asian cuisines. Come for the vows, stay for the open bar — drinks are on us! If you know us, you know we love to have a good time and let our hair down. We do ask that you party responsibly and arrange a designated driver for the long trek home. And if you can, please tip our hardworking bartenders — they’ll appreciate it!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’ve hired a fantastic photographer to capture every special moment of the day. To help everyone be fully present, we ask that you refrain from using cell phones or other recording devices during the ceremony. Your presence and support mean the world to us as we share this important milestone together.

Question

Are there any traditions that I need to be prepared for?

Answer

Yes! The Money Dance is a Filipino wedding tradition that symbolizes love, support, and prosperity for the newlyweds. During the reception, guests are invited to dance with the bride or groom and pin money onto their clothing. If you'd like to join in, we'll have pins ready during the dance — no pressure at all, and participation is completely optional. It's a lighthearted and joyful tradition that we're excited to share with you!

Question

What’s the weather like this time of year?

Answer

Our wedding falls on the summer solstice weekend, which means you’ll experience the longest sunny day of the year! If you’ve never seen the midnight sun, get ready for a truly unique and beautiful experience. Temperatures typically range between 65–75°F. That said, it is Alaska — so anything is possible! We recommend being prepared for any kind of weather, but we are manifesting FULL SUNSHINE and BLUE SKIES.

Question

What will parking be like?

Answer

Please plan to park in the designated lot at the venue as parking on the grass or along the road is not permitted. To ensure there’s room for everyone, try to park close to the next vehicle and avoid large gaps. If you can, we’d love for you to carpool! If you need accessible parking, just reach out to Oliviah ahead of time and she’ll be happy to assist.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We do! Gifts are never an expectation and your presence is the greatest gift of all. As you know, we're adventurers at heart. If you feel so inclined, we have set up a honeymoon fund where you can gift experiences for our honeymoon. Your support means the world to us — thank you for helping us build our life together in meaningful ways!
