Port Royal - 36 holes of golf. This is closest to the venue (shuttle provided) and our favorite on the island. Shipyard - 27 holes of golf. This is also close to the venue but will require a drive or Uber. Our second favorite. We have also golfed Arthur Hills and George Fazio both of which are great but not close in proximity to the Westin.
Below are some recommendations for restaurants if you decide to visit the island for a period of time beyond the wedding activities: Breakfast/Lunch: -Harbour Town Bakery and Cafe - classic breakfast/lunch fresh food spot -Java Burrito - similar to Chipotle but serves breakfast food in addition to lunch. Recommended by many PGA pros who play on the island. -Salty Dog - a staple on the island. They are known for their hot dogs and located on the water. They also have a lot of merchandise which you may have seen around - our tradition is a new sweatshirt each year! -Jane Bistro and Bar - this is a wine bar located in Shelter Cove (shuttle is offered from the Westin) Dinner: -Pomodori - 10/10, our favorite! Reservations required -Dough Boys - take-out, pizza and salads -Skull Creek - waterfront seafood restaurant -Quarterdeck - located in Harbour Town near the lighthouse, great views of the sound -Giuseppi's - a Pittsburgh-themed sports bar/pizza
-Harbour Town Lighthouse/Shopping - Cute area! There is a lighthouse, shopping, bars, and restaurants. You can go up to the top of the lighthouse for an iconic view. -Coligny Plaza shopping and dining - Lots of shops, mostly small businesses but also some brands like Soma and Francesca's. There is a fun bar here, the Frosty Frog. Also open container law - one of our favorite things here is the frozen wine from Carolina Tasting Room while we shop. -Shelter Cove - There is a shuttle here from the Westin. There are lots of shops here such as LuluLemon, Fabrik, White Lotus, and Spartina. Also Jane's Wine Bar and Kilwin's if you want a sweet treat! -Tanger Outlets - One of the few Le Cruset outlets on the east coast!
