The closest airport to Salem is BOS. From there it is about a 45 minute drive to the Hawthorne Hotel.

MBTA Commuter Rail

If you are flying into Boston, or live in the area, the train can be a great way to avoid Boston traffic. You can take the Newburyport/Rockport Line 89 from North Station to Salem, MA. This train ride takes 32 minutes and costs $8.

The Salem Ferry

If you fly into Boston, or live in that area, the Salem Ferry can be a great way to travel while also sightseeing. It costs $33 for a one way ticket, and takes 50-60 minutes.
