Is there a dress code?

Lamu island which comprises of Shela village amongst others is a muslim town and as such respectful dressing is appreciated when walking in and around the village.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Shela is a walkable village. The venue is a 5 to 8 min walk from the accommodation options and so is the beach and everything else you may need. There are no cars on Lamu Island, only donkeys and affordable local bike taxis between Shela and Lamu town.
