Costa Mujeres Spanish for "Women Island" is an island 40 minutes outside of Cancun where the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea meet. Once a sacred region for the Mayans, Costa Mujeres, also known as Isla Mujeres were named as such (mujeres means women) due to all the imagery depicting the goddess Ixchel. Goddess power aside, we chose this area to stay near the excitement of Cancún, but with more tranquil corners to relish and explore. The language is English and Spanish. Mexicans deeply value pleasantries – it’s a sign of respect. Saying "buenos dias" (good morning) or "buenas tardes" (good afternoon) when entering a room or a business is typical. The currency is Mexican pesos, but U.S. dollars are generally accepted. While credit cards are becoming increasingly common, Mexico remains a predominantly cash economy. Be sure to carry cash!

Our dress code is Black Tie. We ask men to wear a tuxedo or suit and tie and women to wear an evening gown or a cocktail dress. To coordinate with our theme we ask all guests to wear the color BLACK. Think glamorous, classy, and elegant!
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors under a pergola overlooking the ocean. The reception will be held in an indoor glass pavilion.
The ceremony will begin at 5:00PM sharp. We ask that all guests arrive by 4:45PM. We kindly request that guests put away cell phones, cameras, and any other devices in order for you to be present in the moment.
