Olivia & Jacob
Our Story
We technically met twice before we ever went on a date.
The first time was in 2018, while working at the same summer school - Olivia teaching French and Jacob teaching English. Summer school is fast-paced and chaotic, so we barely spoke.
The second time was in early 2020, when Olivia joined yet another soccer team that happened to be Jacob’s. Over post-game beers, we realized how much we had in common: we were both teachers, both soccer players, and Olivia taught at the same school and in the same IB program that Jacob had once attended. The universe was clearly trying to tell us something.
Months later, we found each other on the apps and finally went on a date. After that first date, it was obvious this was something worth trying, even though Olivia was about to move to Cairo, Egypt just two months later.
After long-distance through a global pandemic, we knew this was it for us. Since then, life has been full of love, family, hiking, soccer, teaching... and lots of cats.
