Hector and Olivia met in February 2020 on the dating app Hinge. Olivia was supposed to be going to Thailand that Spring, so Hector responded to her profile with lots of suggestions on things to do in Southeast Asia as he had traveled there a couple years prior. They hit it off and decided to have their first date at The Alley Lounge in Culver City. Olivia still remembers the first time she saw Hector as he walked down the alley towards her. She knew even then that he was going to be someone special. The date went well, but Hector was so nervous he forgot to ask Olivia for her phone number. Lucky for Hector, Olivia was such a go-getter that the next day she messaged him on Hinge and asked him if he would like her phone number. After that first date they continued to see each other, until one month later, Covid forced Los Angeles to go into lockdown. Hector and Olivia had to choose if they would try to make their new relationship work during Covid, and they, of course, chose to make it work. For many months, Hector was the only person Olivia saw as they were both trapped in their apartments. However, they spent those first few months, with an abundance of quality time, building a foundation for a relationship that would ultimately lead to where they are now. They quickly learned they were meant to be, and introduced each other to their families. They spent the next three years falling in love, moving in together, and learning as much as they could about the other, growing and changing together as a couple. On December 16, 2023, Hector took Olivia to Manhattan Beach to watch the sunset, where he proposed to her underneath the pier. Olivia and Hector are looking forward to the rest of their lives together and are thrilled to have you there with them on their wedding day.
