One of many beautiful castles and estates in the region. This one is of particular beauty given the exceptionally preserved interiors and the excellent tours given in both French and English. The gardens are beautiful to take pictures and the town has a number of good restaurants just outside the castle gates that are great for lunch (and a bit of wine) on the terrace.
A very cute town with train station where a local train will bring you to and from Lyon or Dijon with ease. The town has markets on the weekend and is a generally pleasant, if sleepy, little town.
This is my parent's recently constructed home. The house has a swimming pool as well as a small apple orchard in the field directly behind the house. This is where many lunches will take place as people are encouraged to lay out in the sun, enjoy the pool, and eat lots of delicious local delicacies!
This is the large old family house. There are two building here, with the main house have a kitchen with a large dining table where lunch and often dinners will take place. There is a large backyard here with cherry and apple trees, ideal for playing badminton or other lawn games. This house is also where a few bikes are stored.
