The BEST place for kiddos to blow off some steam at an indoor playground.
Homewood Central Park
This is a perfect place for kiddos of all ages to blow off some steam. They just put in a new playground this past summer, and there's a large green space for throwing a ball around. There are also picnic benches and a short walking trail.
Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams
Where we went on our first date! If you go here, you must also try Big Spoon Ice Cream and help us solve the ongoing debate between us of which is better!
Pizza Grace
Some of the best pizza in town! Their sourdough crust is to die for, and they're close to several dessert places and spots to grab an after-dinner drink.
El Barrio - Downtown Birmingham
Hands down the BEST Mexican food in the city. You do have to have your entire party there before they'll seat you (just a warning) but it's so worth it! This location is closed on Sundays, but the one in Homewood is open 7 days a week!
Little Betty Steak Bar
If you are a foodie, we HIGHLY recommend this place. The manager is a friend of a friend, so we have the inside scoop that they are hoping to earn a Michelin Star in the next few years and it shows! They have an incredible wine and spirits menu, and their steaks are the best in town. We highly recommend a reservation (far in advance) if you hope to get a table!
