This is a 1.3 mile out and back trail within the 76 acre Houghton Falls Natural Area. The trail takes you into the woods to the falls and continues to the Lake Superior shoreline with views of the Apostle Islands.

This is a cobblestone beach on the shore of Lake Superior. The unique rocks on the beach are perfectly rounded from the rolling waves of the lake. It is a favorite among agate and rock collectors. The Porcupine Mountains and the Apostle Islands are usually visible from the park.
