One of our favorite things to do is to get outdoors and we have so many memories in the mountains. If you are looking for a little morning hike with great views this is the place to go! It is located about 40 minutes from The Elston Inn. This hike will take about 3 hours and is suitable for almost all fitness levels. This hike is full of platforms and paved/wooden pathways with steps. It is suitable for most levels and will take about 3 hours to complete. It is full of many beautiful views of the waterfall which is perfect for a hot summer day. This hike is also about 40 minutes from The Elston Inn and is a great way to get outdoors and enjoy an area that we have become very fond of.

A cute restaurant on the James River in the town of Lynchburg. Spend the day venturing around the town and stop here for lunch. Lots of tasty seafood options and a variety of beers on tap! Chris recommends The Water Dog: a hot dog topped with crab meat. About 30 minutes from Lovingston Winery and 20 minutes from The Elston Inn.
