This nationally renowned historic theater is located on the banks of the Delaware River in a former grist mill. On Memorial Day weekend, you can catch a production of Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The show closes on the 23rd, but if you get in early, you can see it the night before. There are plenty of dinner options in the area to make it a special evening.
This is a fully functional farm run as it was in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Staff is in period costume, making it especially fun for families with young children. Admission is free, but be sure to check online for hours as they close seasonally and for various events/holidays.

Mercer Museum is a 6-story concrete castle with a focus on pre-industrial America. If you’re an American Revolution enthusiast, you’ll enjoy the featured exhibit: The Doan Gang: Outlaws of the Revolution. Explore the history and intrigue of these Revolutionary-era loyalists. Fonthill Castle was home to the Mercer Museum’s founder, Henry Chapman Mercer. The castle is famous for its handmade, ceramic tiles as well as narrow passageways and steep stairs. As such, it may not be suitable for everyone. One-hour tours are available. Fontill Castle is located at the junction of East Court Street & Route 313 in Doylestown. This is a lovely 500-acre park spanning both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. George Washington and the Continental Army crossed the Delaware River on Christmas Eve, turning the tide of the Revolutionary War. The park features a 19th-century village as well as Bowman’s Hill Tower which gives visitors a bird's-eye view of the surrounding countryside. Explore or simply picnic on the banks of the Delaware River.
