Why Zihuatanejo, Mexico?
Answer
We're going to Zihuatanejo because it's such a special place. Olivia's been coming here for ages, even before it was all developed, and was a part of rescuing pups and finding them loving homes in the US. Plus, Olivia’s mom is involved with the Whales of Guerrero project that involves spotting humpback whales and identifying them in the South Pacific. So, why not celebrate our big day in a place that's so special! Come join us for some sun, sand, and margaritas on the beach!

Is traveling to Zihuatanejo safe?

Zihuatanejo is generally considered safe for tourists, but like any destination, it's essential to stay aware of your surroundings and take standard safety precautions. The area has a reputation for its friendly locals and relaxed atmosphere, making it a popular choice for travelers seeking a peaceful getaway. Zihuatanejo Airport is a small airport that is easy to navigate. It’s easy to rent a car or take a taxi to the venue. Yes the taxis are a bit more expensive from the airport but it’s an easy 10 minute drive!

How do we travel in Mexico?
Answer
There are a lot of travel options in Zihuatanejo. 1. Rent a car from the airport: although the airport is small, there are still cars available for rent. Book this early though because in entire can get low! 2. Take taxis everywhere: it’s cheap, easy, and accessible. In Barra de Potosi, everything is in walking distance. So a taxi to and from the airport would suffice if you’re wanting to walk! 3. Walk: take the shuttle to and from the wedding, taxis to and from the airport, and walk everywhere else! Walking on the beach between locations is an amazing experience. 4. Mexican “combi”: this is a GREAT Mexican experience! It’s only 15 pesos and is a small bus that takes people from Barra de Potosi and into the city. This is also a great and cheap way to travel along Playa Blanca.

Yes! Although the inventory is low, there are 12 condos available to book. Each condo has either 1 or 2 bedrooms. Please contact Escondite at ventas@escondite.mx for inquiries. There is a discount when you mention our event.

Yes!! The more the merrier! It’s our dream to be on a vacation with all of our favorite people so we invite people to come and stay as long as they like.

Answer
I hope you bring a crate, because our party favors are furry creatures! If anyone is interested in adopting a dog or a cat please let Olivia know! Our good friends run the Amigos de Animales adoption nonprofit in Barra de Potosi and they are always looking for people to adopt animals. Please consider adopting!!
