Roche Harbor Resort

For lodging, Roche Harbor Resort provides a range of accommodations to fit various preferences and budgets. While there are many different types of accommodations available, (from single rooms to multiple bedroom houses) the majority of lodging options at the resort are multiple bedroom units, so please consider sharing with other family or friends. Our room block will be available to reserve up to one year in advance. Additional nights can be booked based on availability. Anacortes Ferry Terminal

To reach Roche Harbor, you can take a ferry from Anacortes to Friday Harbor. The ferry ride is about 1.5 - 2 hours and offers beautiful views of the San Juan Islands. Once you arrive in Friday Harbor, Roche Harbor is a short 20-minute drive away. Since ferry delays are not uncommon, we recommend catching a ferry to Friday Harbor on July 16, 2026, or in the morning on July 17, 2026, to ensure you reach Roche Harbor on time for the 4:00pm ceremony. If you are driving a vehicle onto the ferry (as opposed to walking on the ferry or taking a shuttle), we recommend making a ferry reservation. Reservations are released in three tiers. The first 30% are available two months in advance, the second 30% two weeks in advance, and the final 30% two days in advance. Ferry reservations do quickly sell out during the summer months, so please be mindful of release dates. If you have a reservation, you will need to check in at the Anacortes Ferry Terminal at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure to keep your reservation. If you miss this 30-minute window, your vehicle will be placed in the standby line and you may not secure a spot until the next scheduled ferry.

Shuttle Options

If you are flying into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and do not want to rent a car or catch a connecting flight, you can take a shuttle to reach Roche Harbor. Bellair Shuttle offers multiple runs every day of the week, with pick-up/drop-off options at the airport or downtown Seattle to the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. Island Airporter offers weekday shuttle service from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Roche Harbor. Rates are $70 - $80 each way, including the ferry fare. Friday Harbor Airport (FRD)

If you prefer to fly, you can book a connecting flight from Seattle to Friday Harbor Airport (FRD) via Kenmore Air. From Friday Harbor, Roche Harbor is a short 20-minute drive away.

Roche Harbor Seaplane Base (RCE)

For a unique experience, consider flying directly to Roche Harbor Seaplane Base (RCE) with Kenmore Air. This option leaves from Lake Union in downtown Seattle and offers stunning aerial views of the San Juan Islands.

Transportation on the Island

If you’re not staying at Roche Harbor Resort or in Friday Harbor, having a car will make it much easier to get around without relying on taxis. Please note that Uber and Lyft are not available on the island.
