The Islas Marietas are a protected group of uninhabited islands located off the coast of Puerto Vallarta, renowned for their natural beauty and ecological significance. Formed by volcanic activity, the islands feature dramatic rock formations, clear waters ideal for snorkeling, and diverse marine wildlife. The islands are best known for the hidden beach, Playa del Amor, which is accessed by swimming through a natural cave opening. Please note that this cave entrance becomes inaccessible during high tide, so guests are encouraged to check tide schedules before booking their tour. Due to conservation efforts, visitor access is limited and must be arranged through authorized guided tours.
