Olga's Version of How We MetOlga's Version of How We Met

It was a rainy evening when, out of nowhere, the power went out. The house fell quiet, just me and the distant sound of trucks down the street. A little while later, there was a knock at my door. When I opened it, there he was. Dressed in his work gear, safety vest and hard hat on, a little dusty from a long day. He introduced himself as a PG&E lineman and explained that a line was down in the neighborhood. He was just stopping by to let me know the power would be out for a bit while they repaired it. I tried to play it cool, but there was something about him. Maybe it was fate, maybe it was timing, or maybe the universe was showing off a little that night. So, instead of simply saying thank you, I took the boldest chance I’ve ever taken and asked for his number. And he gave it to me. What began as a power outage that night became the start of the brightest chapter of my life.

How We Actually MetHow We Actually Met

Like many modern love stories, ours began with a simple swipe. We matched on Bumble and shared our very first date at LUNA Mexican Kitchen in the Pruneyard. We officially became a couple a few months later, during a New Year’s camping trip in the Mojave Desert. We’ve been inseparable ever since, building a beautiful life together with our little family, including our three beloved dogs, one of whom we recently had to say goodbye to, but remains in our hearts and memories.
