Traveling to Nigeria Without a Nigerian Passport? Here's What You Need to Know: If you’re not a Nigerian passport holder, you’ll need a visa to enter Nigeria—unless you’re a citizen of an ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States) member country, in which case you can enter without a visa. (Standard Visa Application) This requires an online application, payment, and mailing your passport and documents to the nearest Nigerian embassy or consulate. Once processed, your passport will be returned with the visa inside. Visa on arrival is no longer available. All visa applications must be submitted through the online portal prior to travel.
