We met on Instagram officially, proof that God can work through anything, even a “Follow” button. Dimeji sent me a follow request, I accepted, and for a while, that was that. Then one day, I came across a story of his that made me laugh way too hard. I remember bursting out laughing and thinking, Who is this guy? So I stalked around his page and I liked what I saw. I knew I wanted to get to know him, but there was no way I was just going to slide into his DMs. So I waited. A few days later, he posted again. I replied to his story and right there, I decided that if he started a conversation, I’d give it my all. And he did. And I did. And here we are living proof that sometimes God writes love stories through Instagram stories. - The Bride It was just another Saturday, just another Lagos wedding after-party, or so we thought. We never imagined that night would come full circle. A casual introduction by mutual friends didn’t seem like much, and we both carried on with life as we knew it. But seasons pass, and as fate would have it, we met again; this time, not even remembering our first encounter. Only now, it felt different. What began as a “scam” into friendship, with promises of Yoruba lessons (🤭🙂↔️), quickly turned into something more. Friends became lovers, lovers became partners, travel companions… and now, we’re about to become husband and wife 😌😌. It turns out some things are never truly random. With God, everything happens exactly when it should. —The Groom
