Most places in Ireland accept card, however it is very rare that they accept cards other than Visa or MasterCard. Often cash is not necessary, but I would reccomend having some cash with you if you need it in a pinch. I would also reccoemnd reviewing your credit card terms to ensure you do not need to pay foreign transaction fees, as these can add up over time. If your card does charge frgien transaction fees I would recommend a card like Capital One venture card. Again unsure the card you are bringing is either a Visa or MasterCard. If you need cash I would simply recommend getting cash from a major bank ATM, such as (Bank of ireland or AIB). These will accept debit cards from any financial institution. Please avoid using credit card
