This is our favorite brunch spot in town (and is where we went for breakfast an hour before Ben proposed). Enjoy a mimosa with your Alaskan reindeer sausage breakfast scramble or some delicious stuffed french toast. They have an amazing menu for everyone. (Make sure to make a reservation before as it is a very popular place).
Having a meal at Moose's is a must while visiting Anchorage. Enjoy some Diablo Breadsticks, a Moose Ranch Salad, and/or a Chicken Parmesan Pizza (Megan's go to choices) while enjoying a delicious craft beer. But seriously, you cannot go wrong with any of the menu choices. And if one time wasn't enough, check out their second restaurant and movie theater: Bear Tooth Theatre Pub (also a great brunch spot). Sit down for a meal or order your food and drink to be delivered to you in the theater! (Pro tip- go to the bar and ask for a blood orange margarita for the theater).
Want to see Denali with a drink in hand? Check out this amazing lodge and their patio restaurant with views of the tallest mountain in North America. And make sure to check out the town it is located in. Fun fact: the town of Talkeetna had a mayor that was a cat (R.I.P Mayor Stubbs).
Get out of Anchorage and enjoy some amazing views on the train! This is a great option for people who don't want to rent a car, yet still want to explore outside of Anchorage. The Alaska Railroad’s main line stretches 470 miles from Seward to Fairbanks, connecting communities all along Southcentral and Interior Alaska, which gives many options of places to explore!
While it won't be skiing season during the wedding, Alyeska is still a beautiful place to hike and explore. And for a great meal, take the tram to the top and sit down at Seven Glaciers Restaurant to take in the views.
Just an hour of south of Anchorage, you can hop aboard a small cruise ship to see and learn about one of Alaska's many glaciers. And when you return to land, make sure to hike the 3 flat miles to Byron Glacier. Here you can get up close and personal with the glacier and also take in the views of the mountains.
