We're getting married!

We have actually known each other since we were kids but it wasn't until several years after graduating that we reconnected. In 2017, I had just moved back to Grand Rapids after grad school. My friends and I frequented the west side bars of GR for weekends/happy hours. This particular weekend I had been talked into coming out after having a few too many cocktails the night prior. My intention was to stay for one drink and go home early, which I thought was solidified by my choice in attire (flannel hoodie, messy bun). I had met up with a few friends at a brewery and after a little while excused myself to use the ladies room. While I was walking there I noticed a tall, dark, and handsome man who had his back turned to me but that I vaguely recognized. My internal dialog went something like, "I think that was Andrew Beeg. I haven't seen him in years. Wow, he grew up." While walking back to my table I noticed the group was no longer there but he again caught my eye as he was walking out the door. I called his name without really thinking, and he turned around. He told me he was in town from New York visiting family and they had just been called to dinner across the street. He asked if I still had his number. I confirmed that I did, and he told me to text him if I wanted him to come back after he finished. Given the state of my mind and body, I had zero intentions of texting. One of my girlfriends was also a friend of his and had texted him that she'd like to see him and that he should come back. Come to find out Andrew ate with his phone on the table waiting for a text to come through, blew through his meal, and was back at the brewery before long. He told me he would buy the next round if I would stay and catch up. He ended up buying 20 bud lights, 20 shots of tequila, and a cafeteria size tray of loaded tater tots for the friend group to keep me out, and them entertained while we reconnected. We have been together ever since.
