We're Getting Married!

Sara and Mark's story began in Valparaiso, Indiana, where they grew up, side by side, attending the same middle and high schools. Both in need of a ride to a graduation party, they found themselves sitting together in the backseat of a car, exchanging no more than a few words. Fast forward to September 2023, when Sara and Mark returned to Indiana for a weekend getaway at Lake Wawasee with close friends. What Sara didn’t know was that Mark had been carefully planning a surprise proposal for months, and the weekend was to be the moment he asked the love of his life to spend forever with him. After some "delays" (all planned!) with their friends' arrival, the couple decided to enjoy a quiet dinner alone before meeting them at the lakehouse. As Mark steered the boat back toward Pier 273, he casually asked Sara if she’d like to take a picture at the end of the pier—something they had done countless times over the past seven years. But this time, instead of a simple photo, a beautiful proposal awaited.
