FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

If you could let us know by the beginning of July then that would be fantastic. We are personally handcrafting all the decorations, favours, and entertainment and would love to make sure that there's enough for everybody to enjoy. We will also need these numbers for a final headcount for food.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 3:30pm, however we have booked the venue from 3pm onwards to ensure that our guests can arrive and choose their seats early.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love for all our guests to be comfortable and enjoy our celebration, as it will be an outdoor ceremony (weather depending), so ask that those attending wear dressy-casual wedding attire.

Question

Why is the Bride Immunosuppressed?

Answer

In March 2020 (literally 2 days before lockdown...) Liv was diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis, an autoimmune disorder. This means that her body's natural immune system can't tell the difference between her own healthy cells, and invader cells such as a virus or bacteria. Long story short, this means that her body attacks itself which can cause serious inflammation, dangerous nutrition loss, and a tonne of other symptoms which may result in her being admitted into hospital. We mention this, as if you are feeling unwell closer to the time, we kindly ask that you do not attend due to needing to keep Liv safe. There will also be other guests in attendance that have compromised immune systems that, too, can become severely unwell. Autoimmune disorders have no cure and are commonly managed with immunosuppressants and steroids. (and lots and lots of common sense)

Question

Sustainability?

Answer

Both of us try to live as sustainable as possible in our day to day lives, and so why should our wedding be any different? We've been personally sourcing, handcrafting, and incorporating mindful eco-friendly elements into every aspect of our wedding. This is because our wedding day is a celebration of our relationship, and our principles and values play a significant role in who we are. Some smaller steps we have taken to ensure the sustainability of our wedding include: choosing a pre-loved wedding dress, buying local and seasonal flowers, sourcing pre-loved decorations locally, purchasing new (and even only handcrafting elements) if we can repurpose in our home or donate to Liv's playgroup, and skipping confetti altogether.

Question

Is there anything else that I should know about the venue?

Answer

The venue is located next to a residential area and so we ask that all guests are considerate and respectful to those that live near. It also has a designated smoking/vaping area at the side of the building. The bar has 2 card machines and can also accept cash if needed.
