Woody and Brittany met when they were 16 and had many mutual friends where they would attended the same high school parties. One party in particular they bonded over both being the sober friends out of their group, making sure everyone was eating and even made coffee together for all their non-sober friends. They stayed friends throughout high school, both wanting to be more than just friends, but neither of them had the guts to make a move. Years had gone by and both fell out of touch, but one night in October 2014, Brittany and her friend walked into Harbor House where Woody and his friend were having a late night meal. Both decided to share a table and catch up. It wasn't until Woody attended Brittany's 21st birthday that December that he was back on her radar. She still didn't have the guts to ask him out though. Luckily he asked her to attend a party he was throwing at his house a few weeks later. This party was the pivotal moment that both felt a real connection. For months after the two would hang out and spent a lot of time together as close friends, but nothing more. Two days before his sister's wedding, Woody asked Brittany if she would be his +1. After a few (or 10) glasses of champagne, Woody finally had the courage he needed to go in for a kiss! Only getting half her mouth, Brittany was shocked, but replied, "you missed." Their friendship quickly turned into love and the two were inseparable. After 3 years, the two started discussing their future and maybe moving to Oregon together to start their lives together outside of California. Woody left in January of 2018 to test the waters and wait for Brittany to graduate from her Masters program in LA. Over the next 9 months, their relationship would be tested but they grew stronger. A work opportunity brought Brittany and Woody down to San Diego in September 2018 where they have lived for a year now and have two little kitties together. They are truly each other's Lobster!
