Our beautiful bride, Ashley, was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. With family roots in Texas and Memphis, she grew up surrounded by the love of her parents and a supportive community who, by the grace of God, guided her from humble beginnings to the compassionate doctor she is today. Our groom, Victor, is Nigerian by culture and ancestry, specifically of the Yoruba people. He was born and raised in New York City, where the determination of his parents, the strength of his community, and the steadfastness of God’s love shaped his path toward medicine and a life of service. Ashley and Victor first crossed paths as freshmen at THE illustrious Howard University, where they were both biology majors. They quickly became close friends—classmates, chapel choir co‑singers, and even tutor and tutee through Victor’s college chemistry tutoring business. Their friendship carried them through their undergraduate years, and after graduation they each set off to pursue their respective callings in medicine and dentistry. In the years that followed, during the upheaval of the COVID‑19 pandemic, they found themselves leaning on familiar friendships for connection and encouragement. Through those conversations, their long‑standing bond deepened in a natural and meaningful way. Their relationship grew even stronger when Ashley moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where they pursued their doctorate studies—Ashley at Tufts University for her Doctor of Dental Medicine and Victor at Harvard Medical School for his MD. With God at the center of their relationship, they built a partnership grounded in faith, purpose, and joy. On September 8th, 2024, Victor asked Ashley for her hand in marriage—marking the beginning of their next chapter and affirming their commitment to a lifetime of love, unity, and holy matrimony.
