Alyssa was Kelli’s first friend she made when she moved the Cleveland in 2016. They both “swiped right” on BumbleBFF, the friend-finding function of the dating app Bumble. While they may not agree on sports team fandoms (Go Browns!), Alyssa has remained one of Kelli’s closest friends despite moving away to Pittsburgh.

Cliff and Luke met playing sports as kids and grew their friendship by drinking copious amounts of cheap beer together at The Ohio State University. If you know Cliff, you know there’s two things he’s good at - drinking beer, and pressuring people to drink beer.

Kelsey and Luke met in college and she graciously prevented him from dating any girls (note: this definitely had nothing to do with Luke himself). When Kelli met Kelsey, she instantly liked her and claimed her as her own friend not only because of Kelsey’s fun personality, but because she had protected and saved Luke from the multitude of women who wanted to date him (isn’t there a term for that…?). If not for Kelsey, Luke and Kelli may still be wandering aimlessly looking for their soulmate.

Joe and Luke met in middle school and have been playing “Age of Empires” ever since. When Luke made plans for his first date with Kelli, Joe served as Luke’s emergency exit plan - but thankfully it wasn’t needed!

Tara and Kelli met through work - in fact, Kelli was the recruiter that hired Tara to work at SocialCode (RIP). Kelli could tell that Tara would make an excellent coworker, but selfishly also wanted to be her friend as well. Thankfully it worked, and Luke even befriended Tara’s husband, too!

Call him Cupid - Amir is the friend who set Luke and Kelli up, which isn’t surprising if you’ve ever met Amir. What started as a casual “Hey, my friend is looking for a job, aren’t you a recruiter? By the way, he thinks you’re hot…” has turned into the marriage you are about to witness. Thanks Amir!

Most people aren’t a fan of their boss, let alone best friends - but that’s not true for Ashley and Kelli. Ashley was Kelli’s boss back in their PNC Bank branch days, where they bonded over disliking most of their coworkers. Luckily they both have since changed jobs and now bond over their obsession with sushi.

Andrew and Luke met while working at Marathon Petroleum right after college. Fun fact: Luke and Kelli could’ve met a few years earlier if Luke didn’t blow off Andrew’s Ohio State vs Alabama watch party in 2015 (he still swears he wasn’t hungover, he “just wanted to watch it at home without distractions”). Luke and Andrew bond over their love for EDM and finance talk (which is a good thing, because Kelli hates both).

Lexxy and Kelli met in high school youth group and have been best friends ever since. Kelli was even Lexxy’s prom date senior year! While their “sneaking out to go do dumb stuff” days may be over, their love of cute dog videos, Cleveland sports, and driving with the windows down and the music too loud will never change.

Luke and Shawn met by chance as roommates at The Ohio State University. In some states, Luke and Shawn are considered as a “common law marriage” since they lived together for over 7 years. Perhaps this relationship’s biggest fan, Shawn was so relieved when Luke met Kelli because it meant he finally got to have his Findlay bachelor pad to himself. SHAWN! SHAWN! SHAWN!

Before Luke was ever in the picture, Lillian Juliette was Kelli’s first love. Lilly was very resistant of Luke for the longest time (jealous much?) and would even yelp as if she was in pain when Luke was near, until Kelli caught her faking it! Eventually Lilly realized Luke wasn’t going away and took a liking to his pillow and mouth guard first, and Luke second. While Luke and Kelli like to think that nothing could ever come between them, they know that’s not true, since Lilly sleeps between them every night.

Maya Hope is a formerly-feral rescue dog who came into Luke and Kelli’s lives by pure fate. Luke finally gave into Kelli’s years of begging for a second dog and took her and Lilly to the dog shelter to adopt a male German Shepherd. However, when they arrived they found out the male dog had already been adopted, but the shelter offered to show them a dog that was “off limits” due to her special needs. That dog was Maya, and Luke and Kelli fell in love immediately. While Luke was hoping to have a “daddy’s girl”, Maya has followed in Lilly’s footsteps (quite literally) by being Kelli’s other “Velcro dog”.
