Are my kids invited?

Answer

While we love your children, our wedding ceremony and reception will be adults-only. We hope you will understand our decision, and take the opportunity to have a "date night" - dinner and drinks on us!

Is there a shuttle to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! We want everyone to be able to have a great time and not worry about driving or finding an Uber at the end of the evening. We have booked Chip's Daily Trips to transport guests to and from Cobblestone Square Orrville. They will make runs from the hotel to Peacock Ridge at 3:30 PM & 4:00 PM (wedding starts at 4:30, don't be late!), and will make runs from Peacock Ridge to Cobblestone Square Orville starting at 9 PM (last run is at 11:00 PM). If you choose to drive, there is ample parking at our venue. Cars can be left overnight, but must be picked up by 11 AM Saturday morning (there is another wedding that day!) If you miss the shuttle or choose to stay at a different hotel, Uber and Lyft are available, but they are scarce and subject to availability. Our shuttle will not run to other hotels. Lastly, we love you - so PLEASE be safe! If you've been drinking, please do not drive!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and guest", then please feel free! Otherwise, we have to adhere to venue guest count restrictions, and would prefer if it was just you. Don't worry, you'll still have fun!

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail/Semi-Formal Our ceremony and cocktail hour are outside, so keep an eye on the weather! Our venue will provide umbrellas if needed. We advise against stiletto-style heels as the cocktail patio is made of cobblestone pavers and the firepit is surrounded by grass - we don't want any twisted ankles! Oh - and no white dresses, please - don't be THAT person!

Is everything being held at the same place?

Answer

Yes! Our ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 PM down by the pond. Immediately following, cocktail hour will be held on the Peacock Patio - be sure to check out Barney, BamBam, Mr. Rubble, Betty, and Pearl, the venue's namesake peacocks! The Swenson's food truck will arrive for dinner service at 6:00 PM - please find your seat inside the barn, as the DJ will be dismissing by table. After dinner, we'll see you on the dance floor! If dancing isn't your thing, feel free to hang out on the patio, toast some s'mores over the bonfire, or play yard games on the front lawn. If you work up an appetite, head over to the bar area for some late-night pizza - it'll be delivered around 9:00 PM. Last call for alcohol will be at 10:30, music stops at 10:59 PM, and the last shuttle leaves at 11:05 PM - don't be late!

Duh. We will have an open bar from 5:00PM - 10:30PM. Don’t forget to check out our signature cocktails!

I didn't see a dinner option on my invite - what's on the menu?

Answer

Swenson's Food Truck! If you're not familiar with this Akron staple, check out their food truck menu here: http://swensonsdriveins.com/food-truck/ For our friends with dietary restrictions - if you don't see anything on the menu you can eat, please let Kelli know ASAP so we can coordinate a DoorDash order. We'll also be serving cake, DIY s'mores, and late night pizza - leave your diets at home ;-)

Can I take pictures and post them on social media?

Answer

For the ceremony - We are requesting an Unplugged ceremony - please turn your cell phones to silent and keep them in your purse or pocket. We have hired two photographers and know they'll do an excellent job, and as soon as they upload pictures online you'll be free to share them to your heart's delight! For the reception - Please feel free to take and post pictures using the hashtags #OfficiallyOakes and #OffTheMarket. Please be mindful and courteous of our photographers and videographer - we want to ensure they get the best shots without tripping over someone!

Hawaii! We will be spending 15 days in Maui and Oahu - aloha!
