As soon as possible. No joke. Joe may have grown up on Lopez Island, but don’t be fooled this place is super popular for vacations. The resort for the ceremony did not have available rooms when we were finding venues. The good thing is there are plenty of hotels, bed and breakfasts, and Airbnb‘s to host everyone within a five to 20 minute drive. If you’re not sure if you can attend please still book with travel insurance so that you’re not left high and dry should you be able to come last minute.
When in doubt go to the ferry website. I’ve included it on the travel tab. They can get very busy so please please please have a reservation, and plan to arrive at a very landing 30 to 45 minutes early to ensure you don’t miss it. That means ticketed and in line with your vehicle that early.
We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress or dressy separates for women and a suit and tie for men. But #1 - feel comfortable in what you wear, we want everyone to have a great time first and foremost!
-Summer on the Islands is SUPER beautiful. Prepare for the chance of rain, and plan on 70-80 degree days and ~60 degree nights.
The resort does not offer any on site child care, but we recommend checking on care.com alternatively, guests in the past have brought on a babysitter or sent one of the older kids to go hang out with the younger ones in one of the larger accommodations.
We do NOT recommend planning to arrive the day of the wedding. The ferry schedules are not always reliable, and we'd ask that you arrive the day prior to avoid any delays.
