Getting Around

Uber and Lyft do not operate in Florence/Tuscany, and cabs will be hard to find in Tuscany. We have been advised there is only one taxi in the area, in Castelfiorentino. For the most reliable transportation, we recommend renting a car during your stay. Tuscany is also home to the Chianti wine route, "Chiantigiana" (or SR222) - one of the most beautiful drives in Italy.

For day trips, there are train and bus systems that connect towns within Tuscany, including Florence. The closest train train station to Villa Ostignano is 10 minutes away in Castelfiorentino.
