Right next door to New Hope is Peddlers Village! It offers over 70 unique specialty shops, six full-service restaurants, and family entertainment options like Giggleberry Fair, featuring a restored 1922 carousel. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options, from traditional American cuisine to farm-to-table experiences. Scot and Obi have spent a few nights at the Buttonwood grill enjoying the thin crust pizzas!
New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge
Walking the New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge is a delightful experience, offering stunning views of the Delaware River and the charming towns of New Hope, Pennsylvania, and Lambertville, New Jersey. Obi took Scot here on one of his first visits to Doylestown, where they enjoyed stepping back and forth across the state line, laughing about how this would have be an ideal setup for their long-distance relationship at the time!
Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve
Located in Bucks County’s historic Pidcock Creek Valley, the Preserve is recognized for its ecologically diverse landscapes and features over 700 native plant species. Come explore about 4.5 miles of trails that wind through forest and meadows, and along streams and ponds.
New Hope
New Hope, Pennsylvania, is a charming town renowned for its eclectic shopping, riverside dining, and vibrant cultural scene. A highlight of any visit is stopping by Havana Restaurant & Bar, where Scot and Obi have enjoyed spending summer nights at the outdoor bar. The bar's lively atmosphere, complete with live music and outdoor seating, makes it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the town's laid-back vibe.
Fonthill Castle
Built between 1908-1912, Fonthill Castle was the home of archaeologist, anthropologist, ceramist, scholar and antiquarian Henry Chapman Mercer (1856-1930). It now features the Mercer Museum!
Nina's Waffles
If you are craving a sweet treat - Obi highly recommends stopping by Nina's waffles! The best homemade ice cream and sugared waffles Obi has ever had.
Steaks on State
Because you can't come to the Philly area without eating a cheesesteak here is a good local spot to check out! While it is no match for a true Philly original, they have some very solid sandwiches. Obi recommends ordering with cooper sharp cheese and a seeded roll!
