Kristen is Kelly's "little" big sister. Growing up, Kristen was a cheerleader, the life of the party, and always loved the spotlight. She and Kelly would choreograph dances to "The Beach Boys" greatest hits in their basement and when performance time came, Kristen would booty bump her little sister off stage. Over the years, the differences have melted away and Kristen has become Kelly's biggest cheerleader. She is everything Kelly could have hoped for in a Maid of Honor - proud, supportive and fun! Keep an eye out for this one on the dance floor on October 1st and who knows... maybe you'll even catch a sisterly dance off!

Jonathan Hart

Best Man

John and Jonathan first met during their time at Fidelity Investments right out of college. It wasn’t long before they were roommates and sharing a house with their friend Alex in Dallas. They have since traveled through eastern Europe, sailed through the BVI, and made countless other memories over the years and quickly became great friends. While they share many similar interests, you can usually find them sipping fine bourbon and listening to Andrew McMahon and reminiscing on old times with friends.

From the day John took Kelly out to Denver to meet his sister, Julie, she was so welcoming and felt like family. She took Kelly and John to her favorite sushi spot in town and Kelly was sold! She felt so lucky to have not just one sister but now two who shared her love of food, trashy TV, and 90s hip hop. Who could ask for more?

Sean McBrearty

Sean is John’s brother-in-law and is originally from Fairhope Alabama. Sean is an avid golfer (John was there to see his first hole in one), fisherman and all-around outdoorsman. John visits Sean and his sister in Denver at least a couple times a year, and you can catch them tearing up the slopes in Breck, at a Rockies game, or seeing a concert at Red Rocks. Sean and Julie currently reside in Denver, CO with their almost three-year-old twin boys who will steal the show as the adorable ring bearers on October 1!

Carolyn Altuna

Bridesmaid

Carolyn and Kelly went to high school in St. Louis together many years ago, but met again a decade later when they were both living in Dallas and bonded over their love of travel. Within months, the duo planned a trip to Mexico where Carolyn nearly "drowned" in crystal clear (two and a half feet deep) water during a SUP yoga lesson in the most dreamy cenoté. A year later, the two really tested out their deep water skills when they decided to fly to Australia to scuba the great barrier reef. Their friendship has been full of adventure and they wouldn't have it any other way!

Stephen Hale

Stephen, like Thomas and John is also from Tyler and first met John during their time at Grace Community where they attended school. They ended up graduating from different high school and going to different schools but kept their friendship going and now both live in Austin. Some of John’s favorite memories with Stephen include a spring break trip to Padre, camping on the beach, and taking Stephen’s old Ford Explorer on the bumpy backroads in Tyler to see how much air they could get. If you ever need a sprinter van conversion to take that cross-country road trip, Stephen is your guy!

Emily Gentile

Bridesmaid

Emily and Kelly are cousins who spent every summer together with the rest of the Oberschelp family on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. They spent countless hours collecting sand dollars, eating snow cones, and watching Shannon Tanner perform his nightly summer shows on the cove. When Emily got married, Kelly was thrilled to be a bridesmaid but accidentally wore WHITE on Emily's big night out during her Dallas bachelorette party. Kelly. Was. Mortified. Emily (as the eternal optimist that she is) laughed off the ditzy moment and returned to the celebration without another thought. She is a ray of sunshine that Kelly is so excited to have part of her special day!

Thomas Conner

Groomsman

John and Thomas’ friendship traces all the way back to Junior High School when they would play school baseball together for the Grace Community Cougars in Tyler. They quickly became great friends on and off the field and even lived across the street from each other in Dallas. Some of John’s favorite memories with Thomas are attending the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dallas, going to concerts, and playing intramural softball before Thomas decided to make his way back to Tyler to start a family with his wife Michelle.

Kara Vendel

Kara is another one of the "Oberschelp" cousins with whom Kelly spent countless summers on the beach. Growing up Kara used to get matching outfits with Kelly... you could spot these two from a mile away in their matching polka dot swimsuit/coverup/hat combo. When Kara got married a few years ago, Kelly was a bridesmaid! At the wedding, Kara introduced Kelly to her childhood BFF who now also lives in Austin. The two hit it off and make sure Kara comes down to Texas at least once a year to visit them both. Who knows, maybe after the wedding weekend, we'll convince her to stay!

Alex Jones

John and Alex hail from the same hometown of Tyler, TX. They spent time bonding in high school computer class over motorcycles and dreamed of riding together one day if their moms would let them… Fast forward a few years and they’re living together in Dallas cruising down Greenville on their motorcycles to eat lunch at Blue Goose. They even took a road trip on their bikes from Tyler to California, through Colorado and back. Fun fact about Alex, he currently holds the record for the fastest time from New York to California on a motorcycle, catch him if you can.
