Lady Bird Lake
Throw on a pair of sneakers and take a stroll around the lake for a little morning exercise or rent kayaks or paddle boards to take the Austin skyline in from a different perspective and escape the summer heat!
South Congress Avenue
Take a walk down this iconic Austin street full of hotels, shops, restaurants, music venues, food trucks and bars. Don't forgot to swing by Jo's Coffee to take a classic Austin "I love you so much" picture!
Zilker Park
Grab a blanket and a snack and have a little picnic in Austin's largest public park (and grounds for Austin City Limits music festival) with a beautiful view of the Austin skyline.
Barton Creek Greenbelt - Hill of Life
Take a hike! There are many trails and entrances to Austin's famous greenbelt but our favorite is the "Hill of Life". It's a steep hike down but ends along the water filled greenbelt for a refreshing little dip!
Barton Springs Municipal Pool
Just down the road from Zilker Park is Austin's own natural bathhouse, Barton Springs. Created in 1947, the large natural public swimming hole is filled with fresh spring water that stays a chilly 68*F year round. So grab your suit and towel, grab a spot in the sun on the grassy hill and take a dip in the fresh spring water!

Tacos
Tacos are MUST HAVE when you're visiting Austin. If you're staying downtown, grab a breakfast taco at the famous Torchy's Tacos, or our personal favorite Veracruz Tacos! A few other favorites around town... Nixta Taqueria, De Nada Cantina, or Discada won't steer you wrong.
