The I-Bar at Naval Air Station North Island began in a 1933 officers’ quarters building that gradually became a favorite hangout for naval aviators. Its legendary status grew after the Tailhook Association was founded there in 1956, and over the decades it filled with aircraft models, squadron patches, and other aviation memorabilia. Today, it remains an officers’ club and an iconic symbol of naval aviation culture. You can also see it featured in the latest Top Gun 2!

How do I get vetted to receive base access?

Answer

1. Please visit the website below and complete the registration process. 2. Upon successful registration you will receive a QR code and 6 digit code. Email the 6 digit code to ncstokes@gmail.com. The code does not expire. 3. Question

Do I need to be vetted if I am taking the shuttle?

Answer

No. A shuttle service will be provided from the hotel to the ceremony, reception, and off base at the end of the night. If you plan to use the shuttle you do not need to go through the vetting process. Please have a valid form of ID on you.
