Raven Cliff Falls
A short hike to one of South Carolina's loveliest waterfalls. Trailhead is on U.S. 276 between Caesar’s Head and the North Carolina line.
DuPont State Recreational Forest Visitor Center
DuPont Forest is a 10,473-acre state forest, located right in Cedar Mountain. "The Hunger Games" was filmed within the forest. There are a number of great waterfalls to explore: Hooker Falls, Triple Falls, High Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls to name a few.
Chimney Rock State Park
Climb to top of 315-foot rock “chimney” for gorgeous view. Scenes from "The Last of the Mohicans" were filmed here.
Fred W. Symmes Chapel
Known locally as "Pretty Place." An open air chapel built in 1941 for campers at the YMCA camp. A beautiful view of the mountains and a great place to see the sun rise!
Faith Memorial Chapel
This is the chapel where we were supposed to have our ceremony last May. During the summer, they have worship services every Sunday from Memorial Day until Labor Day with different clergy and musicians from around the Carolinas. Services begin at 11:00 a.m. and are quite lovely.
Mud Dabbers Pottery of Brevard
The coolest little pottery shop with pieces from over 25 local artists. If you purchased pottery for us as a wedding gift, it was from here! We love this place so much.

Great lunch spot with outdoor seating.
The Square Root
Very yummy food and good vibes! Madison highly recommends the calamari.
Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site
Tour the house, walk the trails, and visit the goats at the home of Pulitzer Prize-winning author and poet Carl Sandburg.
Honey and Salt
For those venturing to the Carl Sandburg Home, Honey and Salt is a great little brunch spot in the village of Flat Rock. They're also opening a sister restaurant, Morning Social, in Brevard this summer.
