Maid of Honor
Sister of the Bride “I've known Sarah my whole life! She has been my best friend and role model since the day I was born. I met George for the first time a few years ago at Holly's confirmation dinner at Emilio's! One of my favorite memories with both Sarah and George is renting paddle boards at Harbor Point on the day of the engagement! George, Holly, and I were secretly talking about it while Sarah was clueless! We are so excited that we are finally getting a brother and could not ask for a better addition to our family!” “If I could only eat one meal for the rest of my life it would be Ama's pasta and sauce!”
Maid of Honor
Sister of the Bride "I've known Sarah from the day I was born, and I've loved her ever since! I met George in the spring of 2017 and I always knew he would be the one to marry my wonderful sister." If Holly won the Masters, next year's Champions Dinner menu would consist of Grilled Salmon, Filet Mignon, Stuffed Artichokes, Zucchini Flowers, Stuffed Ravioli, and French Onion soup. Yum!
Matron of Honor
Sister of the Groom "I’ve known George since he was born! And I remember first meeting Sarah in April of 2017 at Solé in New Canaan for dinner. I remember thinking she is AWESOME! One of my favorite memories with Sarah is when we went to breakfast together in Naples and we had to move tables due to all the large salamanders! I knew she was my kinda girl!" Kate's dream dinner party is very fitting for her: Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Julie Andrews would be her three guests of honor!
Bridesmaid
"I’ve known Sarah since the very first day of freshman year at Denison. I asked if I could sit next to her when I was running late to dance class (great first impression) and she thankfully said yes! Snegan was born, and we’ve been inseparable ever since! From living together for 3 years (basically 4) at school, countless visits to each other in NYC & Chicago, girls trips, & even concert-going in Copenhagen (kinda), there are simply too many memories to count. Whether it’s dancing to “Call Your Girlfriend”, binging Always Sunny, or posing as a very poorly prepared band, we always have the best time together! At the wedding, I’m looking forward to whatever song will cause Sar to break out her signature jazz square. Maybe we’ll even get some impromptu karaoke if we’re lucky. Can’t wait!"
Bridesmaid
“I met Sarah in first grade! She's my oldest friend :) My favorite memories include going to Camp Sloane together, and also that time... {censored content involving an infamous night out in NYC that all started at Phebe's and got slightly out of hand, if you will. Please see Laura Nicholas for full details}". What song is Laura most looking forward to dancing to at the wedding? “I Try by Macy Gray, sung by Sarah Nye. Also, Ugly Heart by G.R.L. (the song of our friend group)”
Bridesmaid
"Sarah and I met in 6th grade when I walked into Rye Middle School as the newbie and the 16 years since then have been filled with laughs, shenanigans and the occasional friendly physical fight. Be warned...Sarah will push you off a bike with no hesitation. Scars to prove it. If I had to use one condiment only for the rest of my life (on everything I ate) I'd pick mayo (Sarah's worst nightmare)."
Bridesmaid
"I met Sarah way back in the day at Rye Rec Camp but became closer friends in High School! So many memories to choose from! But I’d say my favorite was being clowns in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade together!" If Abby could host a dinner party for 3 people, dead or alive, her invite would be George W. Bush, Miley Cyrus & Robin Williams. Also, if Abby could only eat one cuisine for the rest of her life it would be Italian.
Bridesmaid
"Sarah and I met freshmen year at Denison probably awkwardly in Slayter trying to make friends the first few weeks but our friendship really began once we both joined Tri-Delta in January of that same year! My favorite memory of Sarah & George is when Michael and I met them for dinner in Stamford a few months after they began dating. I realized after that dinner how great they were for each other and knew we would have lots of double dates to come in the future. We had an absolute blast and of course ended the night being the only ones dancing at the bar." Maggie is most looking forward to dancing to “shut up and dance with me" at the wedding. "I lowkey love that song"
Bridesmaid
"I met Sarah at New Dance when we were itty bitty and have been dancing partners (and also harmonizers) ever since! We have had so many amazing times together from our silly innocent jokes in high school to our absurdness abroad but honestly some of my favorite times have been our solo road trips down to Delaware recently. I love how we chat for hours about everything and anything, belt our hearts out to all our favorite songs and are constantly laughing together the whole way. Road trips with you are my favorite!" If Sophie woke up tomorrow as an animal, she'd be a bulldog because they're lazy, cute, funny and lovable -Manatee & sloth came in a close 2nd and 3rd :)
Bridesmaid
"I've known Sarah since I guess technically 4th grade but became friends in 7th grade when we sat at the same lunch table. My favorite memories with Sarah include: Sitting in Ms. Howell's 9th grade Math class with Cassandra (sin + co sin = seven), being the only person to also participate in every single musical during high school, going to camp Sloane and somehow making it out alive from those "tents" we had to sleep in, Mamie's house labor day weekend in Westport, MA and dancing for hours to the silent DJ and nearly breaking the lamp from doing Cotton Eye Joe double time." Sarah's go-to ice cream order? "coffee <3"
Best Man
Brother of the Groom "I have known George for over 28 years... we met back when I was a baby. We didn't talk much when we first met but I looked up to him, literally and figuratively. I still do to to this day. Sarah, I’m not sure when we first met but I knew right away you were the one for George! My favorite memory to this point is our Colorado Trip, was so much fun, 10,000 feet (not miles) up!!" If James won the Masters, next year's Champions dinner menu would consist of BBQ Chiken Pizza and deep fried Mac and Cheese Bites, also Colony Pizza. Also, if James could wake up tomorrow as any animal: "I would love to wake up and be a Dog, so I can sleep all day!!"
Groomsman
Brother-in-law of the Groom "I have known George for 8 years, we met at a bar in NYC when I first started dating Kate and he was in the city for a fraternity event. My favorite memory with George was definitely the 2018 Masters. My other favorite memor(ies) are of George & Sarah taking Rob to the Park and the dinner the night of your engagement." If Rob won the Masters, his champions dinner menu would include lobster mac & cheese and buffalo chicken fingers, topped off with a couple of pints of Guinness. Rob's baseball walk-up song? "Get Back by Ludacris because its hysterical"
Groomsman
"I have known George since 7th grade Mrs. Birdsall’s math class (2003). My favorite memories with George are Uncle’s Deli trips in high school." Chris is most looking forward to dancing to "Shout!" at the wedding and if we could only put one condiment on any/every food for the rest of his life it would be Cholula hot sauce.
Groomsman
"George and I met because we were random roommates freshman year in the fall of 2008. My favorite memory of George involves us watching/attending some kind of sporting event, with a few adult beverages and the late night food sessions." If Stu could only bring 3 things on a deserted island: "a solar generator, a TV, and every episode of The Office". Also, if he could choose next year's Master's Champions dinner menu, it would be a very fancy dinner consisting of a Quadruple Bacon Cheeseburger, mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe.
Groomsman
"Showing our age here, but I’ve known George for a little over 10 years. We met when we were freshman at Denison in 2009. We were introduced through a mutual friend – a small group of us had lunch with each other. George was wearing his typical NY Giants gear and I had on Dallas Cowboy stuff. Why we were wearing our NFL team’s gear on a normal weekday is beyond me – bunch of weird dudes. Anyways, this started a natural “my team is better than your team” conversation and the rest was history." If Tanner was stranded on a deserted island, his 3 must have items would be 1) a lighter, 2) a boat and 3) fishing gear. Also, if Tanner hosted a talk show, his first celebrity guest would be Matthew McConaughey: "guy is a legend. Almost bought a Lincoln because of him."

“I’ve known George since freshman year of college at Denison. We met on a Friday/Saturday night in-between Smith and Shorney, the two freshman dorms. My favorite memory with George has to be living together both Junior and Senior year of college.” Scott’s go-to ice cream order is cookies n’ cream or vanilla soft-serve with sprinkles
Groomsman
“George and I met in freshman year of college and spent all of college together as roommates. We got in no trouble ever while at the Big Red, and spent most of our days getting very (VERY) good at Mariokart. Ever since, George has been the best friend a guy could ask for, with a true heart of gold, and I’m beyond excited to be able to share the wedding day with him and Sarah. At the wedding, you can expect me to cry my eyes out when George and Sarah walk down the aisle, request the song ‘Goodbye Horses’ four or five times at the reception, and cut a little rug ;)”

“I got to know Sarah sophomore year of college. I only officially met George last year (wild!) but it was always so clear they were meant to be. I'll be one of the first, and top 3 tallest, people on the dance floor and I can't wait to party like Bud Light "plats" are on draft”

Cousin of the Bride "Well I actually can’t remember how/where I met Sarah considering I was probably only a few days old, but I’ve been lucky enough to know Sarah for my entire 26 years of life as my oldest cousin! Over the years, we have had so many fun and great memories between holidays, family vacations (especially to Sunny Hill) but my favorite memories were summers spent at Camp Sloane together! " Alexa's go-to ice-cream order is Pistachio!

Aunt of the Groom I have known George since before he was born when his mother and I had the same due date for George and Peter who ended up being born 9 days apart! Our families are very close and spent a lot of time together so I got to see George learn to ski at Smuggler’s Notch, boogie board in Long Beach Island, and scream on the Rockin’ Roller Coaster in Disneyworld. I also got to watch as the cousins put on plays and had many sleepovers! George always had that special smile which I loved! I saw that smile when George first brought Sarah to our house and knew that she was “the one”! We are thrilled to welcome Sarah to the family and look forward to many more fun times! As George knows, I love to dance and look forward to dancing to “Happy”!

Aunt of the Groom George and I go way back, more than 11,100 days so far! One of my favorite memories is when George, Kate and James came for a sleepover with Keith, Will, and Nate, and they had a lemonade stand. Apparently I have a wedding reception dancing reputation to uphold, so I am looking forward to dancing to "Can't Stop the Feeling." And more! I inherited my favorite go-to ice cream order from my beloved Dad (George's grandfather): coffee (two scoops)!
Usher
Cousin of the Bride "Sarah is my older cousin and I've known George since Thanksgiving 2017." Fun Fact: "It took me five years to finish high school."

I am beyond thrilled that Sarah and George found each other- they are a perfect team! Looking forward to a fabulous year as we countdown to 7/25/20!" If you could host a dinner party for 3 people dead or alive, who would you invite? "I would take GG, Grandma Casale and Grandma Nye to Belluscio's!"
Father of the Bride
“My little Sarah Nye came into my life on March 14th 1992 and stole my heart. She has been a delight to be around ever since. Sarah has spent 27 years bringing joy, love and laughter into our lives and continues to do so everyday. George and Sarah finding each other is such a Godsend as they are a match made in heaven. Also, if he could only use one condiment on every food he ate for the rest of his life: sauerkraut.
Grandmother of the Bride
"Sarah Elizabeth Nye is our 1st born grandchild. Papa Jimmy and I were overjoyed when she came into our lives. We couldn't get enough of her! My favorite memory of baby Sarah was taking care of her for a week when Debbie & Steve went away for their anniversary and left our adorable granddaughter with us. It is now almost 28 years later and we still can't get over her! I first met George when I "forced" Sarah to invite him to Holly's confirmation dinner and meet the entire family for the first time all at once. Sarah & George are a match made in heaven and I love the way they interact with each other. Our party of 16 is now 17! My favorite ice cream is vanilla with hot fudge syrup, whipped cream and a cherry on top! I can't wait for Sarah & George's 1st dance. What song will they choose?”
Grandfather of the Bride
“When I think about my favorite memories of Sarah I think of 2. The first was when Sarah and Amanda drove down to Naples with Ama and I. After being in the car for hours and hours, I stopped at a shoe store to buy the girls sneakers. The girls didn’t know why we were buying sneakers and I said it’s because you didn’t pack sneakers and you need them for Disney world! The girls were so excited for a surprise trip to Disney world I couldn’t believe their faces. Also when Sarah was 3 I used to take her to school. Every morning in the car I would teach her words to spell. S-T-O-P. Every day a new word or a new sign that we used to pass. Before I knew it she was reading the paper! I couldn’t believe it! I love Sarah and George and so happy for them to get married.”
Grandmother of the Groom
"I have known George ever since he was born. I have loved him more and more with each passing year. He is a kind, loving and thoughtful grandson. We have shared many wonderful times together. I knew Sarah was a keeper the first time I met her. When George visited me in the Hospital he mentioned Sarah’s name and I asked him if she is the one and he said “oh Yes Nana - she is pretty, smart and has a great personality. So I kept waiting for the “Big News” and finally in July it happened! Yippee! To my dinner party I would invite my deceased Mother, Father and sister Marion. My go to ice cream is 2 scoops Vanilla & Strawberry ice cream topped with fresh strawberries!"
Grandfather of the Groom
"George, I love you dearly. You are a tremendous young man. Your consideration for others is a tribute to your parents. Sarah you are a lovely young lady and I am so happy for you and George. My favorite memory of George is when he was a little boy visiting us in Naples and he pulled the fire alarm in our building!!! My go to ice cream is a CMP: Chocolate, Marshmallow and Peanuts!"
Grandmother of the Groom
"I have so many great memories with George that it’s hard to choose just one. But, the summer that he spent taking care of me and my husband (George’s Grandfather) really stands out. No job was too big or too small and he did everything with a big smile on his face. I greatly look forward to George’s visits at Edgehill. He has a great sense of humor and we always have a lot of laughs. I love George and Sarah very much and i know they will have a very happy and healthy life together."
In Memory
Grandmother of the Bride "Grandma Nye would have been the life of the party on the dance floor with an iced glass of white wine in her hand! Some of my favorite memories of Grandma Nye were when she lived at Waters Edge and Amanda and I would come visit and the three of us would walk across to Seaside Johnnies for lunch. It was great quality time that I wish we had more of. Cheers to Grandma Nye, I know her and grandpa will be up there watching us all on wedding weekend!" -Sarah
In Memory
Grandfather of the Bride "Although my time with Grandpa Nye was cut short, I have a lot of fond memories from my 11 years with him. I loved Christmas at Grandpa and Grandma Nye's house - it was always so much fun as a kid with so many people and cousins running around. Most of all I loved Grandpa Nye's infamous grab bag - still a tradition to this day! I wish I had more time and more Christmases with him. Miss you, Grandpa and Grandma Nye!" -Sarah
In Memory
Grandfather of the Groom I will always remember walking into the living room, and grandpa would have a pipe in one hand, glass of scotch in the other, looking out at the bird feeder. He was a gentle, caring and loving grandfather, and lived 100+ amazing years. I wish he was still here with us to celebrate our wedding, but I know he is looking down on us. Miss you grandpa! -George
