We always say we hit it off via text. Sounds crazy, but it's true! We got introduced through a mutual friend (credit to Matt Garcia) because Andrew, Scott and Pat were looking for a fourth roommate for their Pac Heights apartment in San Francisco. We became close friends pretty much instantly and not much soon after it was clear there was more there. We bonded over our obsession with Electronic Dance Music at the time, our USC Trojan and Cal Bear rivalry and our similar aspirations to become #bosses in our respective industries. We quickly became "roommates who were dating" and navigated our early post-college years enjoying our roommates, friends and beloved San Francisco.
Our Clay Street apartment was where we met, became friends and where our relationship grew to where it is now. We shared many family dinners, pregames, dance parties, BBQ's, sleepovers, birthdays and New Year's eve celebrations. Moving out in 2018, symbolized the end of a life stage for us as we moved into a place of our own. Andrew planned a date night right by our old apartment that was currently under construction. He then led me there and I unsuspectingly inspected the place as we reminisced on our time there. Andrew got down on one knee right on the sidewalk, as Scott was hiding in an actual trash can photographing the whole thing. I was still in shock as our friend Khanh jumped from behind a car with a bottle of champagne that we opened on the street. The evening was followed by an amazing dinner at a restaurant owned by a Michelin Star chef we actually went to Coachella with one year! Our friends and family showered us with drinks and dessert and while still in a daze, we wobbled out to meet our friends at a Latin club in North Beach where we danced the night away.
