Checkout downtown New Bern for local shopping and restaurants! New Bern is the birthplace of Pepsi Cola. You can check out their store down-town and get a refreshing Pepsi and some fresh popcorn. (Just don't tell Justine's dad)
Take a stroll in Union Point Park along the water and watch the sunset from the Gazebo. Great for kids to swing or run around at.
Atlantic Beach is only 45 minutes away from New Bern. Bring your beach gear and spend some time in the sunshine while the waves crash along the shore.
Beaufort is about an hour away from New Bern and one of Justine's favorite places in NC. Take a stroll along the water to see all the boats and ships docked. If you look across the way you may see some Wild Horses on the island. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, they like to make an appearance. Beaufort also has cute shops and delicious restaurants to choose from.
Enjoy the outside dining and bar experience at Harry's with some good Carolina BBQ.

Cypress Hall is the first restaurant Sean and Justine went to as a couple. The food is unique and fantastic. Be sure to try their Seafoam Margarita.
This is a special place to Sean and Justine, as they met some of their best friends here. The espresso martinis are unmatched and the staff is awesome. An awesome place to stop for a drink.
Persimmons is the only restaurant in New Bern right on the water. You can enjoy amazing food with a beautiful view of the water or just grab a drink and sit on the dock.

Check out New Bern's local historic district, home of Tryon Palace. New Bern used to be the state capitol and the Tryon Palace was also known as the Governors House.
Baker's Kitchen is the most popular breakfast spot in New Bern. Chicken and waffles is a crowed favorite.
This coffee shop is new to New Bern, but any time Justine is downtown this is her go to coffee place.
