All major US phone companies have international data plans! Just make sure to sign up before your trip. For those with none US carriers, sim card is the way to go! Just make sure your phone is unlocked, can use a SIM card, and has a quad band.* You will need your passport to purchase the sim and best if purchased before leaving the airport. You can purchase your SIM at a Kolbi stand at the airport once you exit customs. Please ask if not sure! *Quad Band: Simply means your phone supports four different frequencies allowing wider roaming capabilities.
US dollar is widely accepted in most places as are Mastercard and Visa credit cards. Just make sure to select USD instead of Colons (local currency) to avoid conversion fees charged by the credit card company. You can also use your debit card with these logos. Just make sure to notify your bank you’re traveling so they do not block your purchases. If planning on withdrawing cash while in Nosara, please check your bank withdrawal fees as some are steep! Might just be easier to bring some cash to avoid transaction fees!
As the time nears, we will post recommendations for places to eat. We also know most of you will be staying in villas and therefore will have your own kitchen and some even your own chefs! We will therefore also provide you with a list of places to pick up groceries.
You will not have to worry when partying with us! And if opening a bottle poolside with your loved ones when not partying with us sounds appealing, make sure to stop by duty free once you land in Costa Rica. Each person has an allowance of up to 5 liters of alcohol! Only mentioning this because your favorite bottle may be slightly more expensive in Nosara.

Plan for a relaxed evening either in your villa/hotel or dinner nearby with friends. We will suggest places to eat as the time draws near. Friday, December 6th: Remember, beach party starts at 3:00PM! Which means you have all morning to sleep in or plan one of the activities listed in the ‘Things to do’ section. Please give yourself enough time to get ready! Saturday, December 7th: Pick up time for transport to wedding venue is 2:00PM! Which means you have some free time in the morning. Sunday, December 8th: Pick up time for transport to poolside BBQ is 12:00PM. So, you may not have time to plan activities except for maybe an early morning walk by the beach or a yoga session. Monday, December 9th: When most will likely be returning home. But if not, lots of activities to choose from nearby and not so nearby!
