Our safari is officially full! Thank you to everyone joining us in the Mara. If this is your first time in Kenya, and would love to explore more, we’ve shared our favorite recommendations below to help you plan your trip.
Nairobi National Park
Lions, rhino and zebra with the city skyline behind them. A half-day game drive without leaving Nairobi is a good taste of it if you are not joining the Mara safari.
Karura Forest
Open 6am-5.30pm A thousand hectares of indigenous forest with fifty kilometres of marked trails, a waterfall, caves and a viewpoint over the city.Families walk it, runners and cyclists share it, and bikes are for hire at the gate.
Maasai Market
Saturday at the Supreme Court in Nairobi's Central Business District. 8am-6pm Beadwork, carvings, kikoys and baskets - everything is negotiable!
Giraffe Centre & Sheldrick Wildlife Trust
Giraffe Center: Feed a Rothschild’s giraffe from a raised platform Sheldrick Wildlife Trust: Watch orphaned elephants at their mud bath only between 11:00am -12:00pm. Both need booking in advance.
National Museum of Kenya
For history lovers (also has a snake park)! Open between 8:30am-5:30pm. The Nairobi National Museum is only 20 mins from the Central Business District.
The River Café
Inside Karura Forest. Open-air tables under the forest canopy, reached on foot or by bike.
Westlands Neighborhood
