Officiant
When discussing our wedding Nathan and I debated only for a few moments about who we should have as our officiant. Someone who knew us, a friend, and someone who truly had wonderful wit. The answer was clear, My Uncle Jim. When I was younger I saw him rarely. Once or twice a year at most. But in my early 20s, he moved back to Florida and I am thankful he did. He has been a sassy support system, and a person to always tell you how it is. I see a lot of myself in him and I could not think of a better person to marry Nathan and me.
Best Man
My best friend and the one who started it all without Steve most of us wouldn’t have met! I met Steve over 10 years ago and we hit it off right away with our love of video games! After 35 rounds of Tekken, of which I won 2, We've played a lot over the years and even started playing airsoft together which lead us to meet Niager and Matt. Together we’ve seen Marvel movies, played Magic The Gathering, and have been to Disney with our significant others together. He is like a brother from another mother! And I wouldn’t have anyone else be my best man.
Groomsman
I met Niager through Airsoft and from there he has helped me become a great professional leader! Niager, Matt, and I have seen every Marvel movie on opening day since Guardians of the Galaxy and would be in the parking lots talking about theories until 2 or 3 am! We have played multiple games on opening night and will be moving to PlayStation soon to continue to do so!
Groomsman
The best dressed and the best comedian. Whether it’s what best goes with a navy jacket or what's the best way to break the ice Matt is the guy to talk to. Just like Niager we have played many games on opening nights and ran multiple Crota Raids in Destiny, to this day I think Matt’s still looking for a Mythoclass. We’ve talked Comics and Anime and we have traveled to Comic-con with Niager! Looking forward to the stories from Boot Camp and how you made your CO laugh while doing 100 push-ups!
Father of the Groom
The man behind the groom. This man has been here for me since I can remember. He has taught me everything from algebra to how to drive. Has always supported me and our family and I couldn’t have asked for a better father! I know that if I ever get stuck I can always call on him for the best advice and even a different perspective.
Maid of Honor
10 years. In the real world that would seem like forever; But with Nicole, it is just the beginning. We met at a Panera Bread for a meet the teacher event my mother was having for her students. In walked the Calvin family. Two sisters, a younger brother, and their mother. We ended up talking for hours and by the end of the event, I was invited to their house for a birthday party. The rest is history. We spent summer after summer together. Days at the park to parties and sleepovers. We have had so many adventures, as well as plenty of ups and downs. But the one thing that will always be the same is the love and support we have for each other. I have been at her side in the darkest and lightest of times. I am also blessed to be Auntie to her sweetest children Jasper and Ella.
They of Honor
I can remember sitting on a couch in a store of my new job in the Avenues Mall and looking to my left and seeing Jessi. Knowing full well that they were my competition for the assistant managers' positions. Well fast forward 2 weeks, neither of us could give care of who got the position because the friendship came first. (She ended up getting the position) We spent what seemed like forever in the hell of that store. Secretly talking on Instagram because Manager and associate friendships were not allowed. But when hell finally came to an end, came the light. We have been in a group chat with my Man of Honor Nico ever since. In the almost 4 years since there has been barely a day we have not all spoken even if just to share a TikTok with each other. Jessi is truly a gift and my best friend.
Man of Honor
Just like Jessi, Nico and I found ourselves in the store of hell in the Avenues. Jessi and Nico were co-workers at Lush and when Nico transferred to the new store we all bonded. The three of us were inseparable even though the store owner tried to keep us apart. But the day after the store closed the group chat began. To this very day we talk, vent, video chat, and just goof off together as much as possible. Before moving away to Texas (Me) and California (Nico), Jessi, Nico and I would have monthly game nights. This is where we shared our personal thoughts and secrets. I am so honored to have them by my side for this amazing day.
Bridesmaid
A leader, a mentor, and a hero are just a few words I can use to describe Brittny. While there are hundreds more, those are my favorite. BB and I met when I began working for her at The Happy Grilled Cheese in Jacksonville. She took me under her very knowledgeable wing and taught me how to grow. Not only as a manager in her restaurant but as a person. There is no better way to get to know another person than almost overheating to death in a food truck. She is a remarkable and well-rounded human and I am blessed she tolerates me in my craziness.
