The poon to Anna's harp, Nichole and Anna have been best friends for the past decade. Though friends in high school, the world wasn't ready to pair them together. The real magic started to happen as they bonded over 10 free ounces of frozen yogurt and ill-constructed Latin sentences. From that point on, there was no going back. They have enjoyed many adventures together- from constructing flaming shot towers, to dressing up Christmas tress, to hiking up mountains, to dominating Cranium games, their friendship has grown with each activity. Being such a large part of Anna's life, Anna couldn't imagine getting married without her.
Josh Steffey
Best Man
Josh Steffey aka "The Red Baron" aka “SK”, fueled Seth's love for heavy metal by taking him to his first concert, starting the many trips to Rock on the Range. Seth is forever indebted to Josh for all the Mountain Dew and jalapeno poppers he bummed from the Steffey’s residence as a teenager. Some of their fondest memories are staying up all night in the dead of winter, playing video games, only to be disappointed that school was not closed the next day. Seth loves Josh like a brother and is beyond proud to have him as his best man.
Lauren Kirby
Bridesmaid
Lauren is Anna's longest friend. They grew through the awkward middle and high school years where they invented their own gourmet dishes, talked way too much in the lunchroom, and watched movies too scary for their own good. They went on to be roommates in college and had just as many memorable experiences together. Lauren has been a genuine friend to Anna the past 18 years and Anna is honored to have her stand by her side.
Steven Lester
Groomsman
SL, as Seth calls Steven, is Seth's oldest friend. Their friendship began in kindergarten and continued to grow throughout middle and high school. They spent many nights at Steven's house and on the golf course, planning to sneak out and explore. Nowadays, you can find these two actually playing on the course instead of terrorizing it. Seth is excited to have Steven stand beside of him on his wedding day.
Autumn Meadows
Bridesmaid
Autumn and Anna became close while playing soccer in high school. From there, they went to college together, even studying the same content: education. In those years, they shared infinite laughs, deep reflections, andddddd lots of drinks. Their bond over the struggles of teaching, wild siblings, and soccer injuries cannot be broken. Anna is excited and honored to have Autumn as part of the wedding party.
Cody Lilly
Groomsman
Seth and Cody have been friends since the Maverick high school days, specifically bonding over "extra-curricular activities". Cody has always been there to fill the empty bar stool beside Seth and vice versa, while watching a UFC fight or a Mountaineer game. Seth is glad to have Cody's sense of humor around for the big day.
Annie Ward
Bridesmaid
Annie became Anna's sister in July of 2018 upon marrying Anna's older brother. She was instantly accepted into the Ward family, adding equisite-ness to the lacking family. Since then, Annie has brought Anna the sister she never had, one she can do yoga with, talk about dog-mom probs, and share new Pinterest ideas. Anna is excited to have her sister as part of the wedding party.
Shane Laws
Groomsman
Shane Laws is Seth's cousin and neighbor. As children, they were an inseparable crew. They spent many evenings together riding the 4-wheeler, doing tricks on the trampoline, and shooting bow and arrows. Seth has always viewed Shane like an older brother and Seth is proud to have him as a groomsmen.
Anne Hunter
Bridesmaid
Though Anne is Anna's newest friend, Anna felt connected to Anne immediately, basically as soon as she found out she had a kayak. Anna and Anne worked together at a therapeutic boarding school and experienced a similar distaste for ansty teenage girls. Anne is an adventurous spirit that Anna admires and they have grown closer through their experiences hiking, camping, and kayaking. Anna is excited to have someone with a similar taste for adventure in the wedding party.
Devin Kirk
Groomsman
Devin aka "Kev Dirky" is one of Seth's oldest friends. Their friendship started early in middle school when the infamous camp outs began. Evolving in high school, Kev picked Seth up for school so he would look cool, bumpin' the system. They also attended many school dances and went on many double dates. Even after graduation, the two remained close with many Busch Heavy-filled adventures to the river and lake. From coyote hunting, to paint-balling, to PlayStation, these two have enjoyed many activities together for almost 20 years so it was no surprise Devin is serving as a groomsmen for Seth.
Megan Powell
Bridesmaid
In marrying Seth, Megan will become Anna's sister. Megan has had to put up with her little brother's shenanigans for the past 26 years and has been able to give Anna advice on how best to handle that. Megan introduced Anna to Crossfit where they spent many evenings trying their best to get fit. Anna is excited to gain another sister that is able to be a part of the wedding party.
Zack Dixon
Groomsman
Zack and Seth were friends as kids but their relationship strengthened in the great town of “the 'Mont” where Zack attended WVU Tech while Seth attended Bridgemont (neighbouring colleges). They spent many nights playing video games and drinking Vladdy and Kool-Aid. Zack also provided much needed tutoring in Statics. The two communicate almost exclusively with acronyms that no one else understands, so of course he's RTP. Seth is proud to have Zack as a groomsmen.
