a day to remember

It all started with a swipe in the summer of 2020. Jacob and Madison matched on Hinge and instantly bonded over their love of horror movies. Their first date was effortless, and within a month, they were practically inseparable. The only time they were apart was when Jacob had to go away for his Marine Corps Reserve weekends. On September 1st, 2020, after Madison joked about wanting to "take things slow," Jacob made it official and asked her to be his girlfriend. Jacob, originally from Long Island, had moved to Pittsburgh for work just before the pandemic, while Madison had returned to Pittsburgh after graduating from Penn State. They both found themselves navigating life and love during a global pandemic—but they made it work. In early 2021, Madison made the leap to Columbus, and nine months later, Jacob followed, bringing his dog, Freyja. Madison, not to be outdone, got her own pup, Freddie. Suddenly, they were a family of four: two humans and two dogs. They quickly settled into a new routine, tackling job changes and big life decisions together. And soon after, they began their adventures—exploring places like Long Island, Nashville, New Orleans, California, and Washington State, always making memories and growing closer. Then, in February 2024, the greatest adventure of all began. On February 17th, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Shiloh Jeanne. Becoming parents has been a transformative experience—Shiloh brought a new layer of joy, love, and purpose to their relationship. Watching each other step into their roles as parents has only deepened their bond, and they’ve discovered a whole new kind of love in the quiet moments of parenthood. Every laugh, every milestone, and every little moment with Shiloh has made them even more grateful for each other. Now, as they look to the future, they’re excited to continue their journey as a family of three (plus two fur babies), ready for whatever comes next. With love, Madison & Jacob 💍
