Megan and Jack went to this amazing museum on their 2nd (3rd?) date. It's close to Dupont Circle!
For a beer and a burger, try this favorite spot of Jack & Megan's.
For a great brunch, try Bar Charley! (Jack suggests you get the cinnamon rolls)
A good landmark for some of the most vital DC sight-seeing. From here, take a walk west to the Lincoln memorial, or walk north to the white house, or east to the museums & the capitol, or south to the tidal basin.
The backdrop for Jack & Megan's first date. Unfortunately some of the establishments we visited on our first marathon date are no longer here, but plenty of great bars, restaurants, and shops remain!
Our favorite Bethesda restaurant, where Jack took Megan just before proposing to her (at Imagination Stage!). To complete the experience, after dinner go across the street for a beer at Rock Bottom Brewery.
A good spot for coffee & baked goods that's around the corner from Megan & Jack's apartment.
Popular 24-hour cafe in the heart of DC's Adams Morgan neighborhood. Great for breakfast, or for planting yourself on a couch with a cappuccino to write a play.
A favorite spot for Imagination Stage faculty, staff, cast, & crew.
If you're taking a few extra days to enjoy Washington, consider taking in a show at Washington Improv Theatre, where Jack has been a teacher and performer for a number of years. Tuesday night is Harold night, which is free!
Another close-by theatre to consider is Studio Theatre--one of DC's most prominent regional theatres. Jack had his first DC job in the box office here, and recently understudied one of their shows.
If you're coming with any young people, you might consider taking them to a show at Imagination Stage, where Megan and Jack met, and where Jack continues to work. They will be showing a fun spin on Cinderella the weekend of the wedding.
