Wedding Party

Jessica Jolley

Matron of Honor

Jess is my built in best friend as my older sister. Our relationship has always come so easily. We almost never argue because she loves me so well and I look up to her so much. She is wise, bold, compassionate, and kind. I used to follow my sister around all the time, and she welcomed it, letting me join her while she nannied kiddos or hung out with her friends. I always want to be next to her when possible on any given day, so I’m very thankful that she is coming all the way from her home in Kenya to be next to me on this very important day.

Diego Turner

Best Man

Diego is my little brother. We have been close ever since we were kids. I have distinct memories of us playing, singing, and even fighting together that we look back at fondly. Diego is an extremely talented individual and I have enjoyed watching him grow into his personality and shine in all aspects of his life. I’m sure we will all catch him on Broadway soon enough…

Emily Wright

Bridesmaid

Emily is my sister-in-law, married to my brother David. They met in college when I wasn’t around as much to get to know her, but I’m oh so thankful for the chances I have gotten to spend time with her since and how I have gotten so much more of it recently. She is so worth getting to know. Her love for people runs deep. I have seen her intentionality and the way she makes people feel so special and cared for time and time again. I’m so thankful I get to have my newest sister share in this joyful day with us.

David Wright

Groomsman

David is also one of my best friends that I met in high school and my future brother-in-law. We are also fraternity brothers which will make us double brothers! I have some hilarious memories with David, but he has also encouraged me through difficult times as well as spiritually and pointed me back to the Lord. He led our D-group in college and I admire his wisdom and heart for people. I am extremely thankful for David’s presence in my life and can’t wait to be officially part of the family.

Sara Turner

Bridesmaid

Sara is Daniel’s little sister. I have known Sara since we were in high school and had the opportunity to do a lot of life with her for a time. I have loved seeing her grow up over the last 8 years into the amazing woman she is. She is so full of laughs and fun but also loves people, most especially her family, so courageously. I’m thankful that I get to continue to do life with her from now on as family and to have her stand up with us as she becomes my sister!

Juan Guanipa

Groomsman

Juan is my cousin from Venezuela. Growing up, I used to be so excited to go to Venezuela over the summers to visit him and the rest of my family. Even when we didn’t see each other for long periods of time, it never took long for us to pick up right where we left off. Recently, Juan has moved to Miami, and I have enjoyed having him a little closer to home.

Ellie Harding

Bridesmaid

Ellie is my oldest brother’s fiancée. She has been around and part of our family for years now since they started dating. I’m thankful for the way she loves my brother. She brings such a gentle, thoughtful, and warming presence to any room. She is so loving and accepting of people, bringing no judgment to the table and always making them feel seen and known. I have loved sharing this season with her and look forward to “officially” welcoming her to the family soon.

Casey Wright

Groomsman

Casey is Cat’s oldest brother who I met in high school. Even from the first time I hung out with Casey, he was the kindest person who loves to serve and make others feel loved and welcomed. I’ve enjoyed getting more opportunities to spend time with Casey and his fiancée, especially in Kenya where we had an absolute blast! I appreciate how Casey cares for his family and how he has already welcomed me in as family.

Genesis Mejia

Bridesmaid

Genesis, or Genny, has been one of my very best friends since high school. We met as a result of our church where she and my brother were interning together. Genny pushes me out of my comfort zone and makes life more fun. From our mission trips to Vermont and Guatemala to stateside hiking adventures to living overseas at the same time, we have shared a similar passion and drive for some time now, and I am so thankful for the encouragement she has always given me. Everyone should have a friend like Genny to love and support them on their wedding day and in marriage.

Taylor Jolley

Groomsman

Taylor is Cat’s brother-in-law. I enjoyed getting to know Taylor more the past few summers, especially when we went to Kenya to visit him and his family. In the time I have spent with Taylor, he has displayed what it looks like to be a loving husband and father while also balancing work and the challenges of living overseas. I am extremely thankful for the efforts that Taylor and his family have made to celebrate our wedding day with us, even living over 8,000 miles away!

Anna Dodd

Bridesmaid

I met Anna when she was leading worship at one of my church youth retreats in high school. After our first hangout shopping at the West Cobb Avenue, we went on to become best friends and room together for a year at Liberty. I have always admired Anna’s intense passion for the things she believes in and am thankful for how she carries that into our friendship by showing up and being there always, like at the airport every. single. time. We have shared so many heartaches and joys with one another. Anna gets married in the month before we do, and this journey has been and will continue to be so sweet to share with her.

David Mendez

Groomsman

David was the first person that I met in 6th grade at JJ. Daniell Middle School. We were both extremely shy and had an awkward first encounter in math class. We ended up overcoming that and became best friends all throughout middle and high school. To this day, David and I are still best friends. He inspires me to work hard even in the midst of life’s challenges. He is one of the most caring, hardworking, and determined individuals I have ever met.

Hannah Glass

Bridesmaid

I met Hannah my freshman year of high school, and we played soccer together all throughout. She was always the best companion to have on the team. Hannah is the most generous and supportive friend. She is always willing to go the extra mile for those in her life. I know she will always be in my corner. Every time we get together, it's as if we never had any time apart. Hannah works hard at everything she does with integrity and honesty. She is so inspiring to me as a friend and I know will brighten up my wedding day more by being there.

Alejandro Morales

Groomsman

I met Ale in Kindergarten and later became friends with him in 8th grade. We played football together on the Junior Jackets and I remember Ale always being the most supportive friend and teammate, especially when I was having a bad game. Ale now has been one of my good friends throughout college. Ale is a reliable friend and somebody you can always go to for words of wisdom or a good laugh. I am proud of how he has worked hard through school and now close to graduating with his degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Kailynn McKee

Bridesmaid

Kailynn was my community group leader my first year of college and then my roommate for my remaining time at Liberty. I’m so glad the Lord gave me her in those years and that she stuck by me through seeing the worst and the best of me. Kailynn and I shared many many silly times in college, as well as more serious times, both hard and exciting, like celebrating her engagement at the medical building at midnight. I don’t get to see Kailynn so much now, so I am so thankful she is willing to put in the extra effort to continue sharing these times together.

Pierce Heintzelman

Groomsman

I met Pierce my freshman year of college at Theta Xi. We were in the same pledge class and quickly became close friends. We were also roommate’s during our sophomore year of college, and he was my most recent roommate. Pierce has always been a great roommate, but he’s an even greater friend. Pierce is dependable and always willing to lend a hand. One of my favorite memories with him was getting to stand with him as he married Hannah, and now I am honored that he will stand by my side on my wedding day!

Lauren Cregger

Bridesmaid

Lauren and I met on our hall freshman year on the first day of college and were both in a community group led by Kailynn. The three of us roomed together my very last semester there in one small room altogether. Lauren and her now husband Elijah were some of my favorite people to hang out with at Liberty, always welcoming me into what they were doing, cheering me up when I’m down, and entertaining me with their fun stories. Lauren is a loyal friend, fantastic listener, and wholehearted caretaker (as a nurse and friend). The day of the wedding would not be the same without Lauren there!

Jore Oni

Groomsman

Jore is one of the most supportive people you will ever meet. He’s everyone’s personal “hype” man. He brings the energy into any room he walks in and is the life of the party. Jore was my roommate sophomore year after he became a brother at Theta Xi during spring 2017. I’ve enjoyed living life with Jore and watching him turn into the man he is today. I know that any time I need a laugh, encouragement, or somebody to talk to I can always turn to Jore.

Krista Schaidt

Bridesmaid

Krista and I met the first day we were at Liberty as well. She was a constant throughout my time there with Ferris wheels, Chick-fil-A dates, Taylor Swift car jams, and football games. We are pretty sure that all our heartbreaks were in sync with one another, but I would have it no other way than to share the hurt with a friend like her while growing into the people we are today. Krista is the most fun and goofy person to be around but also a steady who I know will always be there no matter the distance or time apart. We cried in the car listening to “Never Grow Up” freshman year and I’m sure we’ll do it all again come November.

Andy Vernetti

Groomsman

I met Andy my freshman year at Theta Xi. I’ve always had such a blast joking around with Andy and throwing around the endless inside jokes we have between us and the Theta Xi boys. Besides being the fun, joking guy that he is, Andy is also one of the kindest and most compassionate people that I know. He is passionate about his faith and his family. I loved getting to celebrate his marriage with Anna and now I look forward to him standing by my side at our wedding.

Caralina Gwartney

Bridesmaid

Caralina was one of my housemates while I lived in Uganda. Although it took us a while to warm up to each other, even with our quarantine together the first week, we grew to be very close friends. Caralina knows me better than most people. She loves in a profound way by being so attuned to people’s feelings and needs. She is a quiet servant who shows up for so many people. She and I would chat for hours at night instead of sleeping about the most random things as well as the most significant things in our lives. Of course, I can’t celebrate this day without her party skills and her valued friendship.

Jake Hunt

Groomsman

I met Jake my freshman year of college at Theta Xi. I always admired Jake for his hardworking spirit and conquering Georgia Tech while still making time for his friends and extracurricular activities. Jake was one of the guys I looked forward to spending time with at fraternity events like formal and beach weekend. After college, Jake has done an incredible job with being intentional to reach out to me even with living over an hour away.

Esther Fish

Bridesmaid

Esther and I met in Uganda as well. Although she is one of the high school students at the school I taught at, she was and is one of my most treasured friends. We were instantly close when I moved there, and I am so proud of the ways I have seen Esther grow and change over the last two years. She fights for what she believes in, does the hard and scary things, and serves her family and friends so well. Esther is not one to be reckoned with but the best person to have on your side as a friend. I’m thankful for the things I have walked through so far with Esther and looking forward to more in November and on!

Reed Johnson

Groomsman

I met Reed after college while searching for a new Church in the Vinings area. After my first service at City View Church, I talked to Reed for nearly 30 minutes about work, sports, and life. He made me feel welcomed at the Church after just one visit. Since then, I have become a member at City View and close friends with Reed. We typically bond over our shared love of the Braves, Georgia football, and the Church.
