Wedding Party

Jessica Wong

Maid of Honor

I first met Jessica in the hospital in 1993.. And we fought every day since then! Just kidding. We stopped fighting when she started buying me food :) She was my first ever roommate, and also my last before I get married. I don't know where I would be without my big sister!

Alan Wang

Best Man

I first became acquainted with Alan in the hospital on July 26th, 1993. As with most brothers, our childhood was filled with play fights and real wrestling. I'd like to think I was helping him build character. Now that we are more mature, we enjoy playing basketball, board games, and watching movies together. I look forward to the many years of friendship to come as we continue through different life stages.

Christine Liang

Bridesmaid

I first met Christine at a friend's house in 2012, and I thought she was the bossiest person ever! She kept telling me how to make my congee - but little did I know that she would become one of my best friends, making me congee whenever I was sick throughout my time in Philadelphia. Our favorite past times together include eating and sleeping next to each other on the floor.

Kevin Tung

Groomsman

Kevin and I played on the same basketball team during elementary school. We didn't meet again until our families ended up on the same tour bus in Japan the summer before college, both of us headed for UCSD that fall. We have been best of friends ever since, spending countless nights playing board games and video games throughout college. This is no longer possible as Kevin has a 9pm bedtime. On a more, serious note, Kevin is kind, loyal, often asks the most thought provoking questions, and was a key factor in me coming to Christ.

Sophia Yang

Bridesmaid

Sophia and I lived together for 2 years in Philadelphia's Chinatown. A fellow ICU nurse, Sophia always supported me in my studies, and also indulged me in my laziness. Before we lived together, she always let me sleepover at her dorm whenever it was too cold to walk back (always). Together we are able to talk about anything, as long as she has her orange chicken and pan fried egg!

Jason Chien

Groomsman

Jason and I first met in high school. Our favorite past times were goofing off in stats and Chinese class, or just simply skipping Chinese class altogether. We met again a few years later in Philadelphia, both in medical school and on track to earn our medical degrees. I know, scary right? We enjoy playing and watching basketball together.

Rachel Gee

Bridesmaid

One of the people I argue most with, is Rachel! Yet, we were roommates together in Philadelphia for 4 years. Although we always argue and bicker, we still treat each other like sisters (I think) and she always has my back. Throughout nursing school, we would always run to our classes (late) and take 3 hour afternoon naps together.

Tom Sibert

Groomsman

Tom and I met in Philadelphia through our post-bacc pogam. As fate would have it, we both got into Drexel University College of Medicine. We became closer during our time volunteering at the Chinatown clinic. Tom is smart, generous, and thoughtful. Yet, it seems one of his favorite past-times is to poke fun at me.

Katrina Chun

Bridesmaid

Katrina and I were almost forced to meet. Our middle school basketball teams played against each other, and our teammates would confuse the two of us thinking we were the same person! When we entered high school, I knew I needed to meet my twin. Little did I know, she would become one of my best friends throughout high school. Katrina and I talked all the time in high school (particularly during our calculus class), got ready for prom together, and even packed for college together.

Jeffrey Liaw

Groomsman

Jeffrey was one of the first people I met when I moved to Philadelphia for my post-bacc program. We both ended up in Drexel University College of Medicine and volunteered at the Chinatown clinic together. Jeff played a huge part in helping me get into and through medical school. We spent unspeakable hours nerding out and helping each other wrap our brains around difficult concepts. I'd like to think he found me just as helpful in this regard.
